@ozzelot Ve Fedoře 41 půjde Nvidia ovladače nainstalovat opět z GNOME Software/KDE Discover na pár kliknutí. Jinak balíčky s Nvidia ovladači sice nejsou v repozitarich distribuce, ale jsou dostupné. Stačí po instalaci zaškrtnout repozitare třetích stran. Teď je potřeba je instalovat přes DNF, v další verzi to půjde opět z GUI.
@sesivany @ozzelot Nechci znít jako hnidopich, ale: 1. Teprve? To jako do teď management v RH usoudil, že NVIDIA GPU nejsou? 2. Jediná otázka "Proč?", proč to prostě není v repozitáři? Jeden z nejvíc používaných HW v oblasti GPU a musí se s ním přidávat repo? To bych spíš čekal na ArchLinuxu než na Fedoře.
@ozzelot 1. Nvidia ovladače šly ve Fedoře instalovat z GUI roky. Nejde to teď přesně 2 měsíce. Teda jde, ale přes správce balíčků. 2. V repozitarich Fedory nemůže být nic, co nemá zdrojáky pod svobodnou licencí. To má mimo jiných čistě praktické důvody: bez drojáků nelze garantovat funkčnost a bezpečnost, kterou Fedora u balíčků v repech garantuje.
@ozzelot Ještě jedna poznámka: Fedora je komunitní projekt sponzorovaný Red Hatem. Management Red Hatu může její vývoj ovlivňovat, ale rozhodně ne o něm direktivně rozhodovat. Myslím, že zrovna Nvidia ovladače v repech Fedory je něco, co by komunita ostře odmítla. Z důvodů, které jsem napsal.

Nakonec dlouhodobě nese ovoce přístup "zdrojáky nebo smůla". To nakonec dotlačilo Nvidii k tomu, že pracuje na open source modulu, který bude v mainline kernelu a vyřeší to problémy s Nvidia ovladači na Linuxu jednou provždy.

Did you consider adding a help command instead of an option? The option --help now is playing an active role to help the user, but does not influence an actual HTTP request
For Lynis I created a helper "show help", that well, shows help. Without any command, it will give the output as in the screenshot.
Crazy idea: create helper that allows fuzzy search. So "curl help head" will report about --head, but also the relevant lines about doing a HEAD request.
It makes sense, at the same time confuses me a bit. When I use two options with a program, I expect them to fine-tune the action it is about to take. Like --head --verbose will change the request type from GET to HEAD, yet gives me more verbose output. That makes sense. While -h is not influencing the actual HTTP request or behavior, but instead a hard interrupt to show information. Not what I would expect if I would see the command written on a blog post, for example.

A big YES 👍🏻. Aliases for options that clearly describe what it does, are great. On my blog and in my scripts I try to use the long-format options, so that people can easily understand what a command does, instead of looking at 5 random flags. Also, aliases may help finding the right option easier as well.

I don't like the idea of overwriting by default in the first place, even less when the filename isn't explicit.
I too would vote for the parent name (as if there was no slash, and in some cases both are the same). Other than that, adding number increments (.XXX) or default to no clobber for default file would be preferable IMHO.
