In the App Store app, Apple sometimes has tiles with icons from apps or games that continuously moves for the user to get a sneak peek of all the icons. The second one is the Weather app, where there are quite realistic animations of the weather conditions in the background. The third one is the Stocks app. If you open one of your symbols, there is a banner at the top where your symbols keep automatically scrolling mimicking what you see on tv. In all these three cases, Apple completely stops the animations if Reduce Motion is on.

I understand. I don't know what this particular developer knows about what's currently available but bear in mind that the idea is for this appllication to use a Raspberry Pi rather than the cloud for image processing. This potentially makes the solution extremely affordable, as well as private.

Adding @NVAccess to this. In my opinion, using a term like "announce-only" or "announcement only" mailing list might have clarified this for some users. Users who are already subscribed to the NVDA discussion list on Groups.io might have found this announcement just a bit confusing because they'll just conclude that they already are subscribed to a mailing list from NV Access. To be clear, this appears to be an announce only list specifically operated by them. I'm glad they're doing this as I'm sure there are many people who just want information about what's happening with NV Access without having to deal with questions and comments from users.

Hopefully most people are aware that the list at nvda.groups.io/g/nvda is community run, and not from NV Access, but yes, the post here could have been worded differently - it's always hard trying to squeeze as much info into a social media post as possible AND as clearly and concisely as possible :)
