@LasseGismo @deusfigendi äh… Aurora bezieht die Apps allerdings aus dem Playstore, wenn auch über "anonyme Accounts". Definitiv deutlich besser als mit der Playstore App 👍 aber nicht wirklich/völlig "G-frei" (dafür empfehle ich #FDroid) 😉

Tipp: Achte gut auf die Aurora-Hinweise zu Ergebnissen von Exodus, um Tracker & Co möglichst aus dem Weg zu gehen. Was auch Exodus Dir nicht anzeigt sind FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) und andere proprietäre Nicht-Tracking Bestandteile…

VLC on Android isn't a good choice for playing audiobooks. It loses a few seconds when trying to change playback speed. Also, it doesn't understand a folder of audio files as one book.

I switched to AudioAnchor from F-Droid. It doesn't suffer from the above two issues. However, it expects a folder for each book, even if it's a single file.

I have a Syncthing folder for Audiobooks now, holding only the current ones.

Einkbro is a seriously good tablet browser

I just need to mention it again.

This is an Android browser aimed at E-Ink devices (though it works for any Android device). It's optimised foir E-Ink's strengths and weaknesses.

That actually makes it a really good browser for reading content online, which ... it turns out a whole hell of a lot of present-generation mobile browsers kind of suck at.

The developer's also highly responsive and I've seen a few of my own issues and requests addressed, which is a breath of fresh air. Oh, and it's FOSS.

Anyone got an experience with using the various Telegram clients available in @fdroidorg ? I can see three options, all compatible with my ancient Android (6.x); Forkgram, Telegram FOSS, and Nekogram X, all of which were updated within the last month. No idea how compatible they are, or how fast they run on older hardware.
