not sure what would be equivalent for rust ecosystem but in #ruby one this is kind of "solved" problem by having a separate database running along your development one, so when your test suite run the testing database is deleted with some strategy: transactions or via truncate per group, example (assertion?) or the whole test suite.

The above would be two order of magnitude slower compared to use sqlite :memory:, but it would work.
