Tagged a new U-Boot release for some #Qualcomm phones, now supporting the OnePlus 8T (kebab), since it's what I've been using to do upstream development.

Still a bit of a pain to get started with since you need to modify your GPT to mark a partition as the ESP, you can do this using gdisk from an existing @postmarketOS installation.

Once that's done, you can build a postmarketOS image for qualcomm-sdm845 or postmarketos-trailblazer (passing --split to pmbootstrap install), flash the boot image to your elected ESP and the rootfs to userdata, and then enjoy your EFI'd phone :D

Speaking of kebab, initial support for the OnePlus 8T sent upstream! Including display and touch screen drivers which I'm really happy are in a somewhat upstreamable state.

I'm in tears as I hear the news of Brandon Cole's passing. SuperBlindMan is a name synonymous with gaming, determination, and a fight for equality in an industry that until recently, has kept accessibility on the back burner. I'll forever miss his humor, his energy, his commitment to showing the world that games are for all players. I'm so blessed to have gotten to know him, however briefly in the digital sphere.
My heart goes out to his family, his loved ones, and the many lives he touched with his kindness and advocacy. We may not be able to fight every boss level, but Brandon has shown us that the game doesn't stop when people expect us to sit on the sidelines. I cherish his passion and contributions to society. He will always be loved, always missed.
His legacy will linger in the hearts of his family, friends and colleagues. It is up to the ones left behind to realize his mission and continue to spread the joy of gaming to all, despite their level of ability. Rest in peace, Brandon Cole. You will never be forgotten.

I hopefully will be able to use it with screen readers some day? he has a good voice perfect for reading out my fav webnovels ? and for navigation it would be good if you or martin made voices of your own! to think, it would be you emortal for ever. legends you are at present, but after, you will gain the title imortal legend! :)

PSA: If you're trying to run my Mac versions of my apps and they crash, try installing openssl with homebrew. This will be fixed in a later version of NVGT, hopefully soon, but for now if you have homebrew and it's added to your path, just run the following in a terminal:
brew install openssl

If Brew's not added to your path, but is installed, you can run:
/opt/Homebrew/bin/brew install openssl

You can get Homebrew from brew.sh

Hin und wieder mal daran erinnern, dass noch bis zum 9. Oktober 2024 die #EU-#Bürgerinitiative #TaxTheRich läuft. Sie richtet sich an die Europäische Kommission und fordert diese auf, eine EU-weite Regelung für die Besteuerung hoher Vermögen einzuführen, um aus den so eingenommenen Geldern den schnelleren Umbau hin zu einer klimaneutralen und klimagerechten Gesellschaft und Wirtschaft zu finanzieren.

Aktuell (29. Juni) haben knapp 227.000 Menschen die Petition unterzeichnet. Das Ziel sind 1 Mio. Aber hey, wir sind eigentlich 500 Mio. Menschen in der EU. Also los!

Und schreibt solche Postings wie dieses hier auch ruhig mal in anderen Sprachen, die ihr beherrscht, und die in der EU gesprochen werden.

Ticked off a few more to-do items for my upcoming icon manager app!

- When importing a folder of icons it now scans sub-directories too. It can handle icons with the same name but in different folders, and it looks for keywords in folders and filenames like "solid" or "duotone" to detect the icon style.
- You can filter by icon style
- Flip a coin. If it's heads, you can delete a set without the app crashing. (I got tails)

Some of the comments on this thread are amazing. False information, claims with no supporting evidence, anti-technology ranting... I've said it before, and I'll say it again: maybe Glidence works and maybe it doesn't. It is NOT "just another smart cane", and it's trying things no one else has tried in the realm of technological O&M aids. @FreakyFwoof another trick that works even now, is after you have installed windows, and you reach the main OOBE not the getting ready faze, where you start getting asked questions, launch task manager, run new task type in services.msc, and disable the service named appx deployment service. "getts apps ready the first time a user signs in to there account" when you answer all of the questions, and you are signed in you will find none of the bull apps installed. you will have to launch the settings app via the run dialog box by typeing ms-settings
