A little #PIpeWire tip I learned today. If you want to use OBS Studio with a Google Meet session in Firefox. Start OBS Studio first, if not Firefox will set a format for the camera that OBS Studio do not support and you get a black box in OBS Studio. The other way is fine.

I dunno. Those American news stations are quite superficial. They seem usually to operate on a 20 minute clock. I can see AI making this format much easier to produce. The algorithm can pick the stories, parse them for good broadcasting copy, and put them in a queue to be read by AI using good news voices that have been licensed. You would have live talent on a retainer for big stories that require intensive coverage.

Actually CWE is kinda helpful as it provides a descriptive approach to the issues, while most of the others you mentioned are mostly enumerating existing entries. Sometimes even with such generic texts that entries become interchangeable.
@benbe I believe the CWE idea is sound and fine, but I'm not sure it actually works or serves much purpose in the end. A little like time reports: there's a thinking somewhere the data will be useful for something but in the end it never is...
I like CWE for its documentation as it serves as a nice educational resource when teaching colleges or discussing requirements. Less from the identify-this-vuln side of things.

Why I switched to LibreOffice. When I open a file in excel (let's say a csv), the app will make all kinds of assumptions on datatypes and and formatting, and just apply those changes. !!Noo msexcel, I DON'T WANT you to drop leading zero's off my numbers-string..!!
Libreoffice will also see those choices, but it will always ask first. The functional difference between the 2 in a nutshell..

I really wish LinkedIn would improve the accessibility of their iOS app. The first thing that comes to mind is that I have to press a load more button every time I want to view another group of articles on the home screen. Why should I have to do this? As far as I'm aware, this is the only main stream platform that exhibits this annoying behaviour.
@douglawlor Everything about linkedin sucks to me. It's a poor platform in many ways. Accessibility, usability, even trying to find a way to quickly post from the site is nasty.
@FreakyFwoof I honestly can't stand using it. That was only one of the things. If i took the time I could go on for hours about it. It is just an absolutely horrible platform to use both on mobile and desktop.
@douglawlor @FreakyFwoof I'm in agreement. I maintain an active presence on LinkedIn as it's a great tool for network but it's a mixed bag when it comes to accessibility.

I would then hear back from them right away with a very friendly and personalized response but then nothing would get fixed. What that tells me is that, at least at that time, LinkedIn had a very dedicated and passionate accessibility team but that there was a disconnect between their accessibility team communicating the feedback and the actual development teams applying that feedback. In other words, I don't necessarily blame their accessibility experts for dropping the ball. I suspect that the ball is being dropped once it changed hands.

@ppatel @mcourcel @bmoore123 @jfayre @FreakyFwoof @douglawlor If LinkedIn claimed that accessibility was baked into their development process I would strongly disagree with that claim and I'd be happy to demonstrate why I believe this is not the case. It's a shame as they're such a valuable resource, which is why I maintain an active presence on that platform, but I would never pay for their premium plan, partially because of their accessibility challenges. To be fair, I haven't communicated with them about this in some time and so we as users do need to do that to do our part in at least trying to affect positive change.
it also looks like Microsoft is blocking your domains again I tried multiple times to contact a support Mail and never got anything back but using GMail worked fine. So far I can confirm for 2 totally different companies.
