@tardis I am very probably somewhere on the spectrum, though never professionally diagnosed. I am very high-functioning and have over many years found ways to cope with how absolutely fuckin' weird most people are. (Like why would you say one thing but do another??? What's that even about? You DON'T obsess about Doctor Who?? What?)
And yes, ironically I find that in this mode, folks on the spectrum, who are often painted with a broad brush that they have trouble with empathy, actually experience MORE empathy for others than most people. I think this characterization about people on the spectrum is wrong and lacks nuance: just because we may find it difficult to get inside another person's head, that doesn't AT ALL mean that we don't care what happens to them.
Me, same! :) It's good to find someone else who relates to me. I have empathy, but I have to be connected to the people. I used to be able to not be connected to the people I could be empathic to, but trauma had a play in it. So, now it's different. also, is it only me, or does it sometimes feel like someone flipped a switch and suddenly you ge this weird brain fog and are like, nope, sorry, whatever you're saying, I can't understand or process it.
@tardis I haven't experienced that so much, but sometimes when I am mentally tired or sleep deprived, certainly. I suspect I'm sort of just barely on the spectrum though, and my experiences are not representative of the vast sea of possibilities with neurodivergence.
The upside, of course, is being able to focus on incredibly complex, difficult problems that scare other people away. We're wired up differently, not wrongly.

@avolha Z czasów licealnych / pandemicznych, to Polskie szkoły były tak niedofinansowane, że w praktyce kończyły uzależnione od Discorda, bo to było jedyne darmowe i sensowne na tą skalę rozwiązanie. to był dopiero prywatnościowy problem, zwłaszcza przy domyślnych ustawieniach i udostępnianiu kadrze informacji, kto, w co i kiedy gra.

@alerque Yes, I commented on the issue that introduced this, Caleb. And I've pinged the author explicitly, twice even. Apart from that, the project has not seen any commit since 2/2023, and Armand seems "gone" since June. So chances of this being addressed are rather low to non-existent.
Should it be addressed later, the app can easily be re-established, metadata have been archived and not deleted.

Zkoušel jsem binpkg gcc, protože mi chvíli zlobila jeho kompilace, ale jinak té binpkg větvi Gentoo rozumím tak, že je spíš pro případ, kdy člověk spravuje síť a nechce kompilovat na každém PC.
Ta binární větev je pro všechny, kdo využívají nejčastější kombinaci USE flagů. Pokud člověk moc nedivočí, tak se použije binární balík. Jinak se kompiluje.
Bohužel čím větší balík, tím více USE flagů a tím větší šance, že se bude muset kompilovat. Nebylo by špatné, mít nějaký nástroj, který by mi řekl, kterými USE flagy se liším.

@mahdi Ten FF mě vůbec netrápí. Ani LO. Zato Chromium byl jiný příběh. Tam bin balíček byl, ale zrušili ho, kompilovat to nechci, tak jsem skončil u FlatPacku. Občas v něm potřebuji něco otestovat a na to mi flatpack stačí.

The concern here is that old search engines can give you links and you can go into them to verify the content. AI taking over our search engines hides the sources of information, forcing us to blindly trust the AI and wherever it got its information from.
