I moved the #Friendica Wiki to another server. I need some people to test it and see if all works. I will then solve the problems pointed out.
The initial setup was not done by me. It was still on a server with php 7.4 because it did not work with 8.x due to some plugins. I removed those plugins, apparently not maintained since 2014.
I also saw that it loads some js from some CDN, I don't like that either, so tips welcome on that. Maybe there is a plugin that stores such stuff locally?
Also can you suggest a free service to analyze your webpage, show problem, broken links and such?
I saw that the Avatar (only a systemwide standard avatar for all users) is not displayed in my Firefox, but looks fine on Chromium. May be a DNS issue, so local issue only, seems tailscale some how messes up my DNS resolution. But please have a look for any embedded stuff that does not load!

The problem with defer is that all the code using g_auto* and friends will have to be rewritten, given the mismatch between the two. I don’t particularly like the fact that we’re deferring the execution of a block instead of tying it to a type declaration; it feels wrong and overly C-ish, in a bad way.

hmm, yeah I know this style isn't without precedence but it does seem rather clunky, almost the the point it counters the convenience of g_auto.
It also comes at the cost of another keyword, something long avoided by C (pre-C23 anyway) which I'm not sure it merits especially as C23 gives us annotations, making something closer to cleanup quite appealing.
In fairness I've not read the full post yet, perhaps I'll be convinced otherwise!
So far it seems largely be a new footgun source…

Discord's security is a joke, and they're only "free" in the sense of "if you're not the customer then you're the product," same as Meta.
These folks could have gone with a _truly_ free and secure platform such as Matrix. Opting for Discord and describing it as free and secure means they're clueless.
