The new #PC arrived! ![]()
Thanks to everyone who gave me feedback on the configuration last week. I've made a couple of changes based on it such as getting a X870E motherboard and a faster disk.
> But even with all their skills, they can only see the so-called "on-chain" trades.
If it's not on-chain, this is even easier to investigate. Go get their private databases they use for their order books.
but also I wish our elected representatives cared even a fraction as much about the criminal activity happening on the stock market which is the same thing happening here, but significantly bigger. Nobody cares about dark pools, how they're front running retail trades stealing from regular Americans, ladder attacks to manipulate prices... all of Citadel... trillions of fraud over decades swept under the rug

Is there a really basic thing I've forgotten to do? Does Reaper need to be able to see all the plug-ins if I want to actually use them?

I changed a lightbulb today!
And this makes me happy to be living in the future, because I think the last time I did this was 3-4 years ago.
When I was growing up, replacing bulbs was something that we did at least once a week.
When I moved into a shared house as a student, we were replacing at least one bulb a month. Around then, CFL subsidies came in and the cost of a CFL dropped to about the same price as one month's power consumption for an incandescent bulb, so we replaced all of them, and then didn't change a single bulb for the next two years I was in that house. The next house (which I lived in for around 5 years) also used CFLs and they would gradually have lower peak brightness so would get moved around to places that didn't need as much light.
We have LEDs here now, and they don't seem to fade. I think this is the first one to fail in 8 years (we did bring some older CFLs, which gradually died and were replaced). I'll see if this is a pattern (do they all fail after 8ish years, or was this an outlier?).

Hello everyone!
Here's version 0.20.2 of #GoToSocial; it's another bugfix release!
codeberg.org/superseriousbusin…
If you're updating to this version from v0.20.0 or v0.20.1, it's a very easy update with no db migrations.
If you're updating to this version from a version before v0.20.0, please follow the update instructions from v0.20.0, but replace 0.20.0 with 0.20.2 throughout. Be aware that the update to 0.20.x contains some potentially very long migrations. Please do read the notes carefully!
Release highlights:
- Roll back to using
nameproperty instead ofsummaryfor alt text (for now anyway), due to compatibility issues with *oma, *key, and Iceshrimp. - Stub
authorize_interactionto avoid surprising 404 when trying to do a remote interaction. - Fix issue that was causing emojis not to download properly.
- Add optional build tags for reduced binary size.
- Fix some swagger docs issues.
- Various other fixes + performance tweaks.
- Dependency bumps.
Thanks for reading! Have a good week!

Making a simple form in LibreOffice Base to do the equivalent of a minimal Google Form, but local instead of sending the data to Google.
Here's where I'm stuck: How do I rig up a button that saves the current record *and* starts a new one? Do I have to write a macro for this?
Wow, just wow.

We just released our biggest (and most beautiful) update ever. The new version fully embraces Liquid Glass and comes with a ton of enhancements, fixes and meaningful changes.
The update is available now, and it’s so big that we couldn’t fit all the fixes and changes into the App Store’s text field. You can still find the full release notes on our website:

I have already been asked how we intend to celebrate #curl's 30th anniversary next November (counted from httpget's birth)
But no, I have no idea. I'll think about that in about 11 months

Is there a mailing list service (as in “I want to send concert announcements to a few people”) that’s not objectionable, not predatory, and not run by vile people?
For years Mailchimp was the go-to, but I see them landing on boycott lists of late.
Mailchimp was bought by Intuit, so it falls into that top category.
Edit (post reply): I mean they are objectionable, predatory and run by vile people.
@hub
Intuit falls in the “non-predatory” category?
Their whole business model relies on lobbying to prevent the US government from setting up a free alternative to their services
Like most countries in Europe have for instance
Their for-profit “tax advice” service is totally parasitic and could disappear in an instant if the IRS just sent everyone the filled out forms They Already Have, like every civilized country
I didn’t ditch Mailchimp last mailing because I was too lazy
@AccordionBruce I meant it doesn't fit anymore. Sorry.
Intuit is one of this companies that should be wiped out of the planet.
