I think it's a different situation. From my perspective the foundation for alternative TLS implementations in curl is more robust than for HTTP. To date there's been no discussion about removing rustls curl support. I expect it will stay in experimental phase until rustls itself is 1.0 (work in progress) and then hopefully graduate to a stable feature.

I'm reasonably certain the Audient Evo application on Mac OS isn't supposed to immediately crash when you launch it, or basically do nothing at all when it doesn't crash.
Because of private stuff that has happened this year, I've woken up thinking about people who might like to celebrate today but who are not celebrating, or who are not celebrating with the people with whom they'd really like to celebrate.
I am particularly thinking of LGBTQ+ people with unsupportive, even dangerous, families, and people who have lost loved ones.
I don't have anything pithy or clever to say, just that I am thinking of you.
I just managed to lose access to a (fortunately local) machine by screwing up a VPN configuration. It took the whole stack down, and there is no Ethernet, either. Time to take out this rPi's MicroSD card, put it on another Linux host, and temporarily destroy some stuff long enough to get it functional on the network again.
Whoever is shooting off fireworks that are basically constant on Christmas Eve at midnight needs to cut the crap and wait for Santa or something. Either that or maybe they're cover for Santa? Maybe they're aliens playing Santa? Or, did I sleep for a week and it's actually New Year Eve now? Questions from woken up household of Ner. Tried to activate the download but it doesn't even open the install dialog. It freezes for some seconds and when I check the window title it just says nvda. Am I missing something or what?

This is a repository of apps to be used with your F-Droid client. Applications in this repository are official binaries built by the original application developers, taken from their resp. repositories (mostly Github, GitLab, Codeberg).
A lot of people talk shit about #Firefox's performance, but today I needed to convert a 200mb html file (don't ask). I thought no fucking way would Firefox open it, and if it would, my screen reader would die on it. So I tried pandoc. Pandoc completely choked on it and proceeded to OOM. After a measure of despair, I tried Firefox. It opened the file just fine, and converted it to text. Fucking win.
I recently picked up a cheap ($13) AM/FM/shortwave radio. XHDATA D-219. Cheap and cheerful. Feels like an analog radio, but has a digital tuner. Surprisingly good sound for it's tiny size, and a quite good and sensitive receiver, especially on FM.
One cool feature, though, is that SW band 4 happens to end right at 10 mHz, and SW band 7 starts at 15. The analog feeling tuning dial has end-stops.
So, even with the radio turned off, not looking at it (very handy for me, since I can't see it), I can go straight to WWV on either 10 or 15 mHz. 5 is trickier, and this radio doesn't pick up 2.5, 20 or 25 mHz. It has a gap between 18 and 21.
Anyway, I'm more excited about that than I really should be.
Yeah, I got one of those late last year. Given the price, I've found it to be an unusually pleasant investment. Just wish it could do SSB so I could read the CW mail, as it were.
@sclower yeah, that would be cool. I have a couple of other small radios for that, not including the two HT's I have that can tune down to 100 kHz, though they are not super sensitive outside of VHF/UHF. But they will do AM, SSB and CW.
