Unpopular WCAG opinion:
1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum) and 1.4.6 Contrast (Enhanced) should have been renamed to 1.4.3 Text Contrast (Minimum) and 1.4.6 Text Contrast (Enhanced) to mirror 1.4.11 Non-Text Contrast.
(And then I would get rid of 1.4.6 because it’s AAA leaving Text Contrast and Non-Text Contrast, and everything would be simple. But that’s just me.)
ARIA is great. /s
If aria-current had an HTML equivalent, this person probably wouldn’t have found aria-activedescendent and used it wrongly. It’s one of the main reason I want stuff that works well to get HTML equivalents. This should be a no-brainer.

Have you ever heard of an undecillion? It's a truly staggering amount, a number followed by 36 zeros. And Google has just been fined that amount by Russia.

New #introduction!
Hi, I am Stu. I am 24 years old, #blind, #neurodivergent, and live in the Northeast of #England. My online handle is SeedyThreeSixty, and my personal brand is Seediffusion, a mix of Seedy and Rediffusion.
I love to play video games, especially retro games from the 90s and 2000s; my favourite genre is fighting games, especially #StreetFighterII! I basically love anything from the 2000s; it's my favourite decade.
I like many different types of music, including heavy metal, EDM, Hip-hop, eurobeat and house.
I am an all round nerd who loves technology, maths, science, and virtually all other things that geeks and dweebs love.
My signature catch phrase is sweet puberty!
See profile for links to my stuff. :)

Today is a reasonably sad day.
It is no longer possible to navigate Facebook in the way we could do with the mobile site. Facebook is still usable but it is quite a tough experience to do so.
I don't use it very often, but there are a couple of groups on that platform in which I participate.
I am so glad that, at the moment, X is not like that else I would really be stuck. People who know me will know X is the platform where you will see me most of the time.
The sad part about this is that while we live in good times with regard to accessibility, a company can just snatch accessibility away for many people without a second's thought.
I saw reference on another account to the old Social Eyes program. That was a very convenient way of navigating Facebook, produced by GW Micro.
That was taken due to removal of access by Facebook.
Now, the mobile site has gone. Although that didn't provide everything the primary site offered, it was well marked up and easy for people to manage.
I see reference to the fact that the NFB in the US are working with Meta to improve matters. Of course we will see how that works out, but I believe nothing is improved unless I see it myself.
My view of what makes for good accessibility is rarely in accord with how other people see things.
But on a broader scale, as I say, enjoy every aspect of accessibility while it lasts. You just never know when you may not have it. Tomorrow, you could visit your favourite app and that level of accessibility you are enjoying could be gone due to lack of consultation.

ABOUT GEORGE W. BUSH
Dubya's grandda, Prescott, most likely bought his way out of a life in prison when his bank was closed down by FDR because he was the main banker to the Nazis.

"I went to work for VICE, and made working at VICE part of my identity. I wanted the company to succeed so badly because I believed in what we were doing and I believed in the institution. I worked zillions of hours of unpaid overtime, took on side projects, canceled vacations and worked on vacations thinking that, if I did my job well enough, the company would succeed and we would get to keep doing what we were doing. I spent the vast majority of that time doing work that made money for an over-bloated apparatus that existed to make a bunch of middle managers and executives large salaries and bonuses."
