@jan Problém s RPi je výkon. Na NAS asi dobrý, ale aby se mi na tom transkódovala videa pro Plex nebo mi na tom běžela Mastodon instance nebo Matrix server, tak to asi ne-e. Takže pokud člověk nemá výkonný stroj pro NAS, bude vedle NASu ještě nějakou krabici potřebovat. Teda pokud mu nestačí jen to čisté sdílení souborů po síti.

@michal Nevím jestli to napíšu vše dobře, je to pár let co jsem měl nainstalované kodi.
Kodi je primárně přehrávač médií, nikoli server. Kodi spoléhá na to, že zařízení dokáže přímo přehrát média v jejich původním formátu. Streamování je možné, pokud máš média na NAS, sdíleném disku nebo v síťové složce (SMB, NFS), ale Kodi média netranscoduje.

We just released Mastodon 4.3.3, 4.2.15 and 4.1.22. They contain a few bug fixes as well as a security fix (medium severity, github.com/mastodon/mastodon/s…)

We recommend every instance administrator to update as soon as possible.

If you are using our nightly releases, a container image with the fix has been published with the `nightly.2025-01-17-security` tag.

Review: The Odyssey is a story about a homicidal maniac (Odysseus) who refuses to ask for directions. This tragic flaw, shared by many men, leads his crew to disaster. Some are eaten by monsters, some are eaten by their crew-mates, and some finally get fed up with this cruise from hell (literally at one point), and take a flight home.

But who controls the data on the server? Is it self-hostable, It' might be end-to-end encrypted from the user to the server and back, but that's where it ends.

You might as well use apple and iMessage/iMail/iCal otherwise it's just as secure, and if/when a government comes in and says turn over your user data or intercept the messages they have too.

The Client maybe GPL3 But until the server is available and released under the same license there is no reason to change.
