I've been using the GeForce 4070 Ti Super on Nobara (KDE Plasma + Wayland) for a while.
Last year it was rough (ex: freezes that require ctrl + alt + f3/f2 bouncing in and out of a terminal to fix).
The last few months it's been fine.
Make sure to give yourself quite a bit of /boot space... like 5ish GB to be safe. I'm on 1GB and I'll occasionally get kernel updates that fail because I forgot to clear out old kernels.
But I'm not sure what you want to know.

I haven't really carefully tested features (ex: adaptive sync, HDR, etc.) but, apart from a little fiddling, things mostly work.
Can't say whether AMD or NVIDIA would be your best option, though, of course. Also I haven't used other desktop environments like Gnome since the driver quality got better, so I'm not sure if there's anything you'll run into there.
But NVIDIA's workable for me.
