The CPC could've chose BUY CANADIAN, OR ANY OTHER TEAM CANADA TYPE SLOGAN to support Canadian businesses, but, NOPE...

Instead Pierre PoiLIEvre is holding a CANADA FIRST rally today in Ottawa... cbc.ca/news/politics/poilievre…

REMEMBER: CANADA FIRST IS ALL ABOUT SECURING A WHITE ETHNOSTATE IN CANADA. antihate.ca/canada_first_expos…

I DOUBT Pierre PoiLIEvre chose this racist, xenophobic, antisemitic slogan ACCIDENTALLY.

Er, wait... that $100M contract with Elon Musk's Starlink that Doug Ford "ripped up"? Doug Ford signed that deal himself when Trudeau wouldn't make a deal with Musk, conning Ontario taxpayers out of $100M for a service worth less than $14M.

Now he's calling a snap election while taking credit for undoing his own crooked deal (with added penalty costs to Ontario taxpayers). The news is only covering his ripping up of the contract, not the origins of the contract to begin with.

Anybody listening to Poilievre right now should no longer have any doubts that he's our Trump equivalent. Blaming NDP and Liberals for Trump's tariffs. Blaming them for fentanyl. Lashing out at gun control. Calling for a militarized border - not a wall, but surveillance towers.

Hacked on the CBC journalist who asked him a question.

Using the backdrop of US tariffs to get coverage for his campaign speeches.

The CAQ government's dirty little not-so-secret secret about the province's emergency rooms is a refusal to continue to educate, vaccinate, update, etc. the citizens about COVID-19, influenza, RSV, etc. spreading at an alarming rate..

But, hey, CAQists are gainfully employed at the fancy, new bloated piece of garbage organization *COUGH* SANTÉ QUÉBEC *COUGH* to put out lies and bullshit and make cuts to healthcare. montreal.citynews.ca/2025/01/3…

As if Shopify's policies of propping up Breitbart, QAnon, Proud Boys, etc. wasn't reason enough to dump Shopify in the past, right?

If you deal with #Shopify for your website, etc., consider dumping them immediately.

Canada is a sovereign nation.

WE WILL NOT BE ANNEXED BY ECONOMIC FORCE.

WE WILL NOT BE ANNEXED BY MILITARY FORCE.

Canadians are kind and Canadians are nice... to a point.

The USA, under the pissant administration, has mistaken our kindness and our niceness for weakness.

FYI The initial tariff list... personally, we have a handful of things we'll need to find substitutions for, i.e. protein shakes, wet wipes, etc., but that's not a bad thing, IMNSHO.

ALSO: Going to stop patronizing certain pissant-supporting companies, i.e. Walmart, etc.

It’s been a rough few weeks for Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, who will be stepping down next month. But tonight he gave a powerful speech that should make all Canadians proud. It wasn’t carried by American television. But my American friends, I hope you will watch it and share it. And understand that for us, this betrayal is about more than economics. youtu.be/xiaACQpFUfE #Canada #tariffs #cdnpoli #t

Canadian Labour Congress calls for massive retaliation against US tarrifs, including full cutoff of electricity, critical minerals, and O&G. Also demanded are matching tariffs, worker support programs, and diversification away from US economy.

If this is what's being demanded in the open, I'm curious the extent union labour in strategic sectors might put on their wooden shoes. Dumping of American goods in Canadian ports seems very plausible.

FYI More illegal drugs, guns, etc. come in from the USA to Canada than Canada to the USA.

Pissant administration has done nothing to improve it during its first 4 years [2017 to 2021], nor the last 10 days... #cdnpoli #theliesrepublicanstellyou

Watching with increasing horror what is going on in the US. I am convinced the upcoming election in Canada is existential; keeping Poilievre out of power is the only way to show that despite what is happening in the US, fascism and autocracy are not inevitable for Canadians as well. Along with Mexico, we will need to be beacons of Freedom in North America. I hope to god we are up to the challenge. #cdnpoli

Postmedia is only 00.37% Canadian-owned.
One-third of one percent.

Hearing an interview of FP Champagne, still our Industry Minister. The incompetence reeks out of his own speech.

He couldn't regulate our telecartel and now is disappointed that Amazon c-suite doesn't call him back.

He is part of my disappointment with the current Govt. That's not endorsing PP fascist, BTW.

He is just a spakling-less minister (flat).

I wonder what kinds of tarrifs are being considered for US computer services, like ad publishing, cloud hosting, LLM, labour like consulting and support...

US tech giants take in billions and billions for these services each year. Often without a Canadian subsidiary. Often while stealing copyrighted material produced in Canada. Meta in particular has been uncooperative.

Tariff & tax these foreign services. Encourage Canadians to replace them.

Huh, since I've literally never been afforded the luxury of paying a capital gains tax and thanks to CBC's "like I'm a five-year-old" explanation, I realize I had some misconceptions about how it all works.

Before, when I thought it was an actual tax on investment earnings, 66% seemed fantastic. Now I'm wondering why it's not 100% and why the Liberals made the first quarter million exempt from the increase.

Man, corporations really want to put a stop to libraries:

cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/otta…

"Depending on the title, public libraries may pay two or three times more for an e-book than they pay for its print edition. In some cases, the e-book may be up to six times the price, librarians told CBC."

"Those publishers ... will often license copies of e-books for just 12 or 24 months. Once that licence expires, libraries must repurchase access to the same book." #canada #cdnpoli #books

We’ve just committed $1.3B to address a made-up problem, based on the impulsive musings of a compulsive liar.

I can just see the convicted felon bragging to his crony pals about how when he says ‘jump’ Canada asks ‘how high?’.

And he’ll slap us with tariffs anyhow, because it was never about the border. 🤦‍♂️
