Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Sunday. Today sounds interesting, we have an amber warning for heavy snow; a yellow for ice and a yellow for wind. I might stay in bed today! I also have a funny feeling that our heating stopped working during the night, I'll have to check that out when the house wakes up.

A clump of brown bracket fungus, I don't know which type, growing from the moss covered, gnarly bark of a dead tree. The photo is a close up so that the clump of fungi are the main subject, however, the texture of the bark, with its dark green mossy covering, is also interesting.

The US right wing news coverage of the Canadian "trucker convoy" came with a lot of "liberate Canada" rhetoric and that was the first blip on my radar that the US could be more of a threat than an ally.

It actually concerned me to the point I mentioned it on a few shows at the time and just got weird looks. And yet...

common reasons for having a bad time:

1) if you lose your session (clear the tab; delete the app) and later try to log back in, you will lose history sent since you were last logged in. this is fixed by MSC3814, but implementation has got repeatedly stuck.

2) if you forget your recovery key/passphrase, you'll lose all your history. this could be improved too.

3) if your server is beta or underpowered then risk of badness.

4) abusive spam (we've been working away on antiabuse)

If your #fanfic summary starts off "All characters were bornded in 2008 instead" I'm not reading any further. Bornded? Really? I can't even...how do we get to bornded? Born is already the past tense! Okay, but if you didn't know that, I could see borned. I don't like it, but not everyone speaks English, and that's totally okay. But if you're using some kind of translation dictionary, wouldn't it give you the word "birth" and so then you'd write "birthed"? Birthed isn't my favourite, either, but it's fine. It's a real word. I've been sitting here for several minutes trying to figure out how anyone, anywhere, gets to "bornded". I would even accept "gived birth to", especially if your native language isn't English; it's a good try.

Oh! Posting late because I forgot about this, but it fits #fedidreams. My dream journal last night said (cleaned up quite a bit from the transcript): "Listening to the radio. I have no other context. I guess I dreamed this? Or did I just...partly wake up and think this idea was so good it had to be recorded? I have no idea. My mumbling made it obvious I wasn't really awake.
