Our prayers have been answered. She survived the general anaesthetic, which was our first major concern as it was a risk.
The MRI showed she had a massive stroke today, the seizure behaviour was her having the stroke and then going into a massive panic attack because she lost her sight and control of her legs.
When I left her she was writhing around in a kennel and I put my face to hers so she knew I was there, she was panicking but licked my face as she knew it was her dad. I thought it was going to be our last interaction.
The specialist called and reassured us that she should make an almost full recovery. Mrs B has been in bits all day, I've been doing the stoic bit.
When the lovely specialist said "she'll be chasing bunnies again" I fucking folded. Glad she was on the phone and couldn't see me ugly crying.

Berating users for "using #VPN" and wanting to "ban" or control it ("for the children"), the latest genius idea that seems to be brewing in several places now (UK, Denmark), is egregiously ill-conceived and sickening.
This feels almost like an announcement to ban or control breathing.

Stop allowing children under 16 or even 18 to get access to violent, abusive or pornographic content. That is why they use words "child safety". I was adult when I saw my first terrorists cutting throat video, and those screams are still hounting me. I was almost about to faint, I was having mild panic attack. You want children get access to that? How about animal torture? Why do you want kids have access to sick content? Why word Netiquette matters nothing to some anymore...

Anyway, I now have a backup at a Hetzner storage box, the source (my external HDD(, so I need one more spot. Get a 2nd drive and pllace it somewhere else? Another internet storage/cloud somewhere somehow? Not sure.
How'd you even manage actually storing 400 gb of actual data in it? I would never use drives like that, maybe out of habbit of knowing it's just online, only a cloud, sub based etc? Idk.

I've noticed something about using my BrailleNote. The one I've been working with lately has an 18 cell Braille display. Because the BrailleNote has thumb-keys, I can reverse the keys so that the key to advance the display forward is further to the left. On a 32 cell, I would use a custom set and set the very far left key to move forward, however I'm finding that this seems to get to my wrist after awhile and it gets uncomfortable for me to read for long periods. On this BrailleNote with the 18 cell display, I'm finding I can fly through information in Braille because with where the Braille starts, and the fact that I use my thumb to hit the key to advance, with the keys reversed I can read in Braille faster than I have ever been able to in the nearly 19 years I've been working with Braille displays. It's interesting that I find this easier with the shorter displays.
I always loved those notetakers that are the same size for both the 32 and 18 cell, it's just on the 18 cell displays they only have braille in the middle lol. DK why it always cracked me up that the only amount of effort some display put into miniaturizing was just to remove cells from each end
@Bri Honestly though, the BrailleNote seems to be that way and I think it's actually the fact that it's done that way that makes it easier for me. On my Apex 32, my wrist gets tired after awhile and I can't read on it for long periods. With it set this way on the BrailleNote I'm working with, the start of the display is aligned with the far right side of what is usually the previous thumb-key, so it's more in line with where the Braille starts and it works so much better for me.

@zoufalec @mireeek Hlavně to není rotoped. Cyklotrenažér na rozdíl od rotopedu, který jízdu na kole pouze připomíná, nabízí autentický pocit z jízdy. ☝️😀 To víš my jsme srdcaři.

@zoufalec Můžeš jezdit i bez aplikace, jen ti pak trenažér automaticky neupravuje zátěž podle profilu trati. Já mám tenhle: cyklotrenazery.heureka.cz/tacx… Aplikaci vyloženě nepotřebuješ, ale vydržet na tom třeba 90 minut a čumět jen do zdi chce hodně silnou hlavu 😀😀 Já mám na kole pedály s wattmetrem, takže se připojují k aplikacím – jinak bych se na to upřímně vysral. Zase to mám jen přes zimu. Jsou borci, co na tom jezdí celoročně. Ono je to stejný jako když si někdo koupí domů běžecký pás – po měsíci je z toho pěkný věšák na ručníky. 😄@mireeek
Můj rotoped umí vše výše zmíněné, občas taky slouží jako věšák. Při jízdě koukám na TV a chtěl bych přidat ještě jeho dovednost a to, za jízdy číst ebooky. Ale jak psal @archos, venku je to lepší. @zoufalec

I've been a very happy user of Bitwarden for several years but recently, I've begun noticing an a11y issue that's really inconvenient. I'm using JAWS and the Chrome Browser. I bring up the Bitwarden extension and press New to create a new item. Focus lands on the Folder item type, and I can't select any other item type by using the arrow keys. Anyone else seeing this? @bitwarden
I'm thankful for #Be My Eyes. I am going through holiday cards and reading the little messages that are often handwritten, even in cursive. It is a joy to have the app read them to me.
