Ich hab die Seite mit Eleventy als SSG aufgebaut, korrekt. Hab auf der „Über mich“ Seite ein bisschen über die Tools geschrieben, die im Einsatz sind. Ansonsten ist das mein HTML, CSS und JS und sonst nix.
Ja, Eleventy macht das einem ja auch einfach, sein eigenes HTML & co. zu verwenden, und zwingt einem nicht eine andere Programmiersprache auf wie Jeckyll oder so.
Ich hab' meine Archive der alten Blogs ja auch mit Eleventy gebaut, nach einem Tutorial für Eleventy von Andy Bell, das er 2020 veröffentlicht hatte und inzwischen als Open Source freigegeben hat. Das ist das erste Tutorial gewesen von einem SSG, bei dem ich das Gefühl hatte zu wissen, was ich tue. Jekkyl und Hugo habe ich vorher auch probiert und war höchst verwirrt.

@arfy My hope is that you'll bring something in on the left, perhaps a fun sine-wave arp thing to fill out that side of the spectrum a bit. You have your bass more to the right, which leaves the left feeling all sad and lonely about itself. Definitely a peace of the puzzle missing, but not a huge one.

So I've just pushed a really early version of being able to control a Mac via NVDARemote to the NVDARC app, via a new Be controlled option in the settings page. Note/warning! Due to limitations in VoiceOver, the speech output is going to be less than desirable in a lot of cases, but at the moment, it's the best one can do. In 2023, California Congressman Robert Garcia (D) outdid them all. He took his #OathOfOffice on a #Superman comic book. It was placed in a stack of items that meant a lot to him, including a photo of his late parents and his citizenship certificate. It was a rare copy of Action Comics # 1 (first appearance of Superman) from the Library of Congress, so it did have historical significance.
As a Superman fan myself, I know he was taking advantage of the opportunity to hold a copy of that treasure in his hands for just a minute, and I completely endorse the idea. Buying his own copy would have set him back millions of dollars, but that brief moment of "geeking out" was free, thanks to our National Archives.
In addition to chapters support, the app also remembers where podcast playback was stopped and can return to that exact point. In the meantime, I’m addressing a few more of Gemini’s suggestions, so another pull request is on the way. 🙂
I did test that feature on a podcast, but it didn't work for me. I started playing worstofallpossibleworlds.podbe… then I switched to shows.acast.com/itsathing/epis… but it did not remember my spot from the first file. This feature is low priority for me personally, but I thought I'd let you know.

I tested the example podcasts you sent, and well — it works for me. Maybe you didn’t listen long enough? The app only starts saving the position after about 20 seconds. Try seeking further into an episode, stopping it, and then coming back to it.
I got a fairly large list of podcasts of various types from a friend, and it’s pretty much what I expected — it all behaves differently. Oh well, we’ll need to test things and catch those edge cases so it works properly. You’ll probably see a few more pull requests from me in the near future.
No worries, we'll work it out when it comes. I got into codex skills last night, and I had to resort to using the AI to install them. I might run bug-triage on it just to be safe, when it is someone I do not know at all/first commit.
It turns out that podcasts started in different ways and stopped in different ways behaved differently. I hope the PR that’s currently going through will resolve this issue!

I'm looking for an audio adapter where I can plug the USB end into my PC and an aux cable into the other end. This aux should be a stereo (Not Mono) mic input so I can get sound from another device to my computer in stereo.
All the adapters I found on Amazon have been mono. Any recommendations?

It's very hard to find something that is actually stereo, line level and 3.5 MM on a simple dongle like that. The potential for noise is pretty high, too, when you start introducing common earth ground. There are some 3.5 MM mic level stereo things out there that you can sort of fake to be line level, like the aforementioned old adapter here, but the couple I've tried had so much DC offset it isn't worth using for anything much. M-Audio used to have a reasonably clean one that did Mike/line, but that was only packaged with some junkie inaccessible software, far as I know.
pretty much everything I use is balanced in and out, so I can't really help too much.
if you are looking for something very tiny, I don't know, but there are lots of options with 3.5 MM stereo line level I/o, or RCA, which is easy enough to adapt, but you will sacrifice size.

I'm glad that NVAccess management realizes that even though I can get shit like image descriptions with AI 8 different ways from Sunday, that's a higher priority than the fact that I only have *1* way to use my terminal. And that's with NVDA. And it barely fucking works because it crashes so much. Good going folks.

I keep fighting with myself whether I should just go back to Instagram. On the one side, fuck Meta and everything they do. On the other, why bother. Mastodon honestly seems to be just your blindy space if certain instances, or if not that, since obviously mastodon is big and not made for blindies, it's just people who either cry about life, are super nerdy, or wanna get their ideas across or whatever. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing it, but I'm just saying from my perspective, maybe it's not needed for them, and I can get that. Well I have facebook already so it seems like nonsense to come to instagram as a 100% blind individual, given that I can see nothing and the only reason I have facebook now is to browse if I'm very bored or for my friends list on messenger. IDK man but yeah. Stick to something and don't change up your mind, that's not better than any audio game dev you would think about dissing.
@McOi Yes, Mastodon is a nerdy space, but that doesn't mean it needs to stay like that. There are tons of more sighted instances, of various focused places, you just don't discover them if you surround yourself with the same people and interests cuz well, there is no algorithm, no boost no discovery, mostly. Also as I said, PixelFeed is your better Instagram. But well, they wouldn't even consider caring for 1 person I guess.
Honestly this has always been my problem with it. Either I'm to stupid, unlucky or I just have no clue. Because I barely discover people I'd like to follow unless someone boosts someone, you look into their profile, that person boosts someone else etc. Or, I knew them from somewhere else before. If neither, they provided their mastodon details somewhere.
Yup, well that's the concept of Mastodon, if it's good or bad is left to you tbh. They do plan to introduce starter packs or something, where apparently you can find accounts of specific topics, idk not heard about it much, but that won't solve the problem either if you ask me.

Beta 2 of Braille display Calibration tool: Added a pause function, where you can hit P or enter to pause. I'm still labeling it beta until I know quirks are ironed out for people. Whether you're using a single-line or a multi-line Braille device, calibrating the dots and a way to clean them by raising, then gently wiping, can really work. Here at home, I'm testing this tool using the Brailliant BI 40X as well as the Cadence. VoiceUover users who type in languages with accented letters. When I write in Spanish with the Spanish keyboard, I have to hold my finger down on say the an and then drag right to get the acute acute. the not tilde is right there on the spanish keyboard, but you have to drag quite a lot. Is there a VO shortcut to get altogether characters, for example drag down to select?
