@matt Thanks Matt! I should also stress that this is a piece you kinda need to read all the way through. A few people have come away from reading the headline with the idea that I just don't like git commit signing specifically and they should turn it off as opposed to turning it on. For some people, in some situations, it makes perfect sense and it's a fine security primitive. To quote one of the last paragraphs of the blog:

DuckDuck and Brave products shouldn't be on this list. They are not fully private. They also been caught lying to users and even more than once. Not by some accidental mistake but on the purpose. Dont worry if you are using other not listed apps 🤣. In my case: Firefox (I dont trust forks), Tuta, Bitwarden, 2FAS (MFA backup), Obsidian, Signal. Same apps for macOS and iOS.
I tested Simplex chat for 5 months and realized that even though I didn't use the app, it consumed a lot of data (quite a lot) in the background. I conclude that this data hijacking is quite suspicious. Anyone who wants to test their data consumption can use the Glasswire app.

For those of you that really hate windows 11, and like windows 10 there is now a song for you. I told www.udio.com to make an 80's pop song about windows 10 being better than windows 11. I got it to make I believe a 4 minutes and 22 seconds song, and here it is for your listening pleasure.
Eh, Windows 11 is just like every version of Windows going back to 98. The changes are annoying at first, but it'll stabilize, and the new crap that doesn't stick will get phased out. Remember Active Desktop?

There is an interesting website that has a detailed real-time look at every moment of the Apollo 13 mission, with audio track from every mission control channel.
This famous jerry-rigged "mailbox" was used to scrub the CO2 in the the Apollo 13 lunar module that was the lifeboat for the 3 astronauts.
The contraption solved the problem of fitting the lithium hydroxide cylindrical shaped scrubbers of the lunar module with the cubic shaped ones stored in the command module.
I keep thinking about a recent article in Nature by Talhelm and Dong that appears to confirm the theory that the staple crops (in this case wheat versus rice) can influence collectivistic cultural tendencies.
In particular, it makes me wonder how the #milpa impacted Indigenous North American cultures. A milpa is a #Native agroecological system largely centered around growing corn, beans and squash in the same field. It is intense, highly productive and also provides a complete and healthy diet in a very small amount of land.
I suspect that milpas lead to even more individualistic tendencies, which could explain the large linguistic and cultural diversity of North America and how it led to dense urban societies so quickly.
