Huge thanks to @kabushawarib for eliminating the flickering that occurred in #GNOMEFiles 46's "Global Search" feature! This should help performance a bit, and improve #accessibility for light/motion-sensitive users.
If all goes well, the bugfix would probably make its way into #Nautilus 46.3, I presume.

ja mám z toho zmiešané pocity.
Na jednej strane ok, hlavu hore ideme ďalej čo sa stalo sa stalo, bolo to plánované ideme podľa plánu (lenže to by si musela aj koalícia spoločne vstúpiť do svedomia, a to sa nedeje).
Na druhej strane, sa tvária ako kamoši (veď vieme) tak z úcty k Handlovej aj jemu samotnému to mohli zrušiť alebo premiestniť. Ak to pritiahnem trochu za vlasy sa mu normálne vysmievajú.
To že som to nazval recesia nebolo pekné ale tak som to cítil. Možno aj pokoj, možno

Toto je taký nezmysel, že ani neviem či to vôbec potrebuje dodatočný komentár. Ignoruje to technickú aj spoločenskú realitu, jasne ukazuje mentálne nastavenie autorov vzhľadom k slobode slova, či vlastne k slobode všeobecne.
Ja neviem už,... keby to písal nejaký úbožiak s autokrarickými sklonmi, čo musel aj záverečnú vysokoškolskú prácu odpísať len aby dostal titul, nevyzeralo by to inak.

seirdy.one has around 2.2k unique outlinks to around 850 domains after being online for 3.5 years. 3% of these are broken. Almost all the broken links are links to Fedi posts.
When I quote a Fedi post on my website but the original is deleted I try to find the original poster and ask if I should delete my quoted copy, or for permission to link a cached copy of their post when it exists. If they don’t reply I generally delete it on my end.
It makes me wonder about all the pages on the web that quote other pages/posts long after the original has been deleted. I don’t think that manually honoring deletion is sustainable, and I’m not sure it’s possible to do it automatically without implementing the relevant APIs for every single platform you quote from. I quote from static sites, Wordpress sites, Fediverse instances, Discourse instances, GitHub issues…
I still honor deletions when I notice them, but I think we need to acknowledge that out-of-protocol manual consent is a fuckton of work.

When an instance shuts down without doing a complete federated purge, users on that instance can’t “delete” their posts anymore. They’re cached across thousands of other instances. Do I contact every user on that instance whose posts I’ve mentioned on my website?
