Švédský institut V-dem vydal každoroční srovnání demokracií ve světě. Česká republika skončila celosvětově na 7. místě, navíc se stoupající tendencí. Lepší je Dánsko, Estonsko, Švýcarsko, Švédsko, Norsko a Irsko, mezi srovnatelnými zeměmi navíc žádná nevykazuje takovou míru zlepšování demokracie.
