Monday. A weekend of medical mayhem as my daughter manages to slice her eye open with the tiny, pointy shaft of a bicycle pump, my mother-in-law ends up in crippling pain whenever she eats, and the wife continues to balloon as baby grows.
It's not been relaxing, by any stretch, although we did have a delightful couple of hours in Worcester at the baloon festival on Friday, where a gentlemen blew himself up in a coffin as a crowd pleaser.
I hope she getts better very soonish, kindely send her my wishes for her to get better soon, a virus, is that a genneral virus or something in the eye it's self? as for my eyes, left has high pressure compared to the write one, you can tell, if you put a finger on the left eye it's alot harder than the write eye ball. the left eyeball has less give compared to the write. how bad was the cut? I am hopeing not that bad?
@mhussain thank you. :) Just a respiratory virus from being around all the other sick people we think. The cut on the eye is very small thankfully, the worry really was infection because it was punctured by something stored outdoors. She has antibiotic eyedrops which will hopefully prevent anything more serious on the eye front.
good call with the eyedropps, they should also keep that eye loobricated. pardon my spelling sir. considdering my eye situation and wateing at the nhs for 7 hours 5 or 6 months ago, I feel your pain. my situation was a really red left eye it was due to having a really hot shouer eyes and heat don't go well that much, they prescribed me some eye drops antibeotic ones along with some eye dropps that would loob the eye it is the left eye that has higher air pressure than the write, this may be inhibiting correct tear ducting. hence the dropps. odd if i don't sleep for a night the pressure in the left eye is greatly diminished which kinda helps but does not at the same time. i'm not sure where you are based but nhs wateing times really suck it's most likely gotten worse since my last visit. I hope your daughter getts better soon. one question is your daughter a little one? if yes then waiting at the hospital must have been hell a? curious.

#AudioMo Day 23: I've been thinking about this for a few days, and finally got around to making it happen. I decided I would take an electromagnetic pickup, plug it into my recorder and capture the sound of my electric toothbrush directly. I take that sound into an audio editor, top and tail it, add that to Ableton Move as a sample, then turn it into a melodic instrument. This is the result of that. It's not long, but it's an idea of sorts.

since a few versions back you can also get full help on every single command line option with "curl -h [option]". For example get -v explained in detail by typing "curl -h -v".
There are just so many options but we try different things to make it easier for users to find the right options and to learn what they do...
shame that Fedora does not build this manual in :( As useful as that feature is, I am usually looking for a specific feature in curl, for which I usually do not immediately know the flag, so I have to resort to searching in the man pages anyway :) @fst

As I just attended Kubecon in Tokyo, it seems pretty... antithetical to the underlying ideals of Kubernetes and open source to have its discussion under corporate control.
A move to an open source alternative, and I believe there are several, seems like a no-brainer to me.
so does that mean you are going to step up and lead the effort to an open source and self hosted alternative?
Otherwise you are just another example of the bad side of open source where people demand the developers do what they want without any consideration of the reality of the project
Like many others, their git repo, issues and bug tracking lives or dies at the whims of Microsoft. Gitlab already moved some things projects used behind a subscription. Managing open source hosting is a frustrating process. For an old project that just uses mailing lists I'm again trying to find new hosting.
@slink ... also a remark I've commented on what feels like a thousand times. If someone would fund us going self-hosted, sure. Until then I think we should appreciate that we are sponsored and can do as well as we do exactly where we are right now.

It interests me that so many of the sounds are clearly just average instruments but the playing is certainly not. The upright bass for example is nothing to write home about, so it's not a band. Can't place the instruments either, doesn't sound like Logic. I can usually tell the instrumentation from the drums but not in this case.

As a person living in Iran, I can explain the situation. For almost 3 days, our connection to global websites was blocked completely (it's a bit better now on home WiFis, but still a living nightmare), and only the local websites hosted on Iranian servers worked. We didn't have Google, GitHub or any other websites; we couldn't connect to our servers outside of Iran through SSH. The only way a very small number of people had access to the internet was that they bought...
