Real quick just want to remind you that men's rights do not vary from state to state in America.
Women's rights do.
Take from that what you will.
Brewers have the best record in the entire league this year. (80-48, .625)
Is this their season? Is it time?
The Tigers are .589, and even the Phillies are .583
Perhaps this is the year of the underdogs? Like how the hell are the Astros doing well (.547) ?
I wonder if anyone has written a book analyzing the different design features of the various baseball stadiums in the MLB.
Baseball is definitely an interesting sport where the baseball fields can vary. You can't do that with most other sports except... auto racing(?) because with racing the track is part of the challenge itself.
Converted my home network from ISC-DHCP to Kea
It works. Dunno what else to say.
🆕 blog! “What about using rel="share-url" to expose sharing intents?”
Let's say that you've visited a website and want to share it with your friends. At the bottom of the article is a list of popular sharing destinations - Facebook, BlueSky, LinkedIn, Telegram, Reddit, HackerNews etc.
You click the relevant icon and get taken to the site with the…

@mgifford I think I agree with you that this sounds more like a feature of the user agent than the website.
Adding and changing a share target is much easier there and with a bit of clever design it would work with any reachable page or resource, not just those web pages where the authors thought of adding share buttons

Hello Mastodon! I was wondering if you could help a girl out here! I really want to read this book The Sheep Who Changed the World by neil-astley. It was a book on the Braille Book Swap email list and it sounds so delightful! I can’t even find an ebook to purchase! I’m afraid of exploring the slightly less legal way of obtaining books. Does anyone have any safe resources that they can recommend to me? Thanks!
Yes, please do assume I’ve already checked all the libraries.

A woman who is 3 months pregnant falls into a deep coma. 6 months later, she awakes and asks the doctor about her baby.
Doctor: You had twins, a boy and a girl, and they are both fine. Luckily, your brother named them for you.
Woman: Oh no, not my brother! He's an idiot! What did he name the girl?
Doctor: Denise.
Woman: Well it isn't so bad, and what did he call the boy?
Doctor: Denephew.

Wanted: a #RustLang tool with 4 panes:
- desired generated code
- an in progress proc-macro being written
- input #Rust code where the proc-macro is being applied
- a live updating view of the actual generated code with diff annotations against what was desired
If you want to go fancier, tie things in the output to the input and provide suggestions on where things are missing pre-expansion for the output to march the expectation. I feel like 90% of this can be accomplished today with tmux+a file watcher+direct rustc invocations using -Zunpretty=expanded, but it'd be lovely to have an actual tool for this.

The last time I saw my aunt in person, we both tried to shove $100 into the other person’s hands at the same time. It was the same note, and we laughed and exchanged the notes.
I guess the exception to the gifting thing is I could probably have bought her a food gift. Like something really special.
But giving a consumer item would be very weird.
There’s something there around giving moms / aunts jewellery or handbags, maybe, but like ‘I’m going to give you a ticket to this event’ or ‘I am going to give you a random candle or sock’ would probably be met with confusion.
Anyway, American gift giving culture is really confusing to me and I have never once sat down to think ‘I wonder what this person would want!!’

I guess in many cultures it is tacky to give money as a gift In the Chinese culture I know it is tacky to NOT give money Coz how tf are you supposed to guess what anyone really wants? Other than cold hard cash, which everyone wants.Hachyderm.io
#Catima 2.37.0 is out!
This release features a redesigned logo, kindly contributed by il-Luca (github.com/il-Luca) and Aeven-Dev (github.com/aeven-dev).
The redesign was kept very close to the original design from TangentFoxy (github.com/TangentFoxy), to try to not affect people's ability to recognize the app in their app drawer.
Coming soon to an app store near you.
