I wonder if anyone has written a book analyzing the different design features of the various baseball stadiums in the MLB.

Baseball is definitely an interesting sport where the baseball fields can vary. You can't do that with most other sports except... auto racing(?) because with racing the track is part of the challenge itself.

link [8] is a duplicate of [6] (CONNECT-UDP pull request).

This link was probably meant: mastodon.social/@tdp_org/11505…

Yesterday we saw 161 different versions of #curl make just over 1 million requests to www.bbc.co.uk & www.bbc.com.

The oldest version is 7.0.0 (1 request).
The newest version is 8.15.0 (18,969 requests).

I'd spotted a load of different cURL versions in something else so was curious how many versions we see.

Hello Mastodon! I was wondering if you could help a girl out here! I really want to read this book The Sheep Who Changed the World by neil-astley. It was a book on the Braille Book Swap email list and it sounds so delightful! I can’t even find an ebook to purchase! I’m afraid of exploring the slightly less legal way of obtaining books. Does anyone have any safe resources that they can recommend to me? Thanks!

Yes, please do assume I’ve already checked all the libraries.

A woman who is 3 months pregnant falls into a deep coma. 6 months later, she awakes and asks the doctor about her baby.

Doctor: You had twins, a boy and a girl, and they are both fine. Luckily, your brother named them for you.

Woman: Oh no, not my brother! He's an idiot! What did he name the girl?

Doctor: Denise.

Woman: Well it isn't so bad, and what did he call the boy?

Doctor: Denephew.

Okay, so this trole is following me as well. I didn't know his track record. If anyone thinks i should PM admin, let me know. To all my cave people, stay safe. If this persists, i will be switching my account to followers only. I am ready if needed. Again, stay safe.
Update, i blocked both accounts, if you need help, let me know.

@fireborn I didn't know this guy's track record, until i kept seeing posts mentioning that name on local. I look at local all the time, and i noticed the vibe was off. Instead of interesting stuff, i just saw people talking about this Ramon guy, and i wanted to figure it out. A post somed it up, and thats where the conversation started. I don't know how to file reports threw web, and i blocked him, so i couldn't see his posts if i knew.

Wanted: a #RustLang tool with 4 panes:
- desired generated code
- an in progress proc-macro being written
- input #Rust code where the proc-macro is being applied
- a live updating view of the actual generated code with diff annotations against what was desired

If you want to go fancier, tie things in the output to the input and provide suggestions on where things are missing pre-expansion for the output to march the expectation. I feel like 90% of this can be accomplished today with tmux+a file watcher+direct rustc invocations using -Zunpretty=expanded, but it'd be lovely to have an actual tool for this.

The last time I saw my aunt in person, we both tried to shove $100 into the other person’s hands at the same time. It was the same note, and we laughed and exchanged the notes.

I guess the exception to the gifting thing is I could probably have bought her a food gift. Like something really special.

But giving a consumer item would be very weird.

There’s something there around giving moms / aunts jewellery or handbags, maybe, but like ‘I’m going to give you a ticket to this event’ or ‘I am going to give you a random candle or sock’ would probably be met with confusion.

Anyway, American gift giving culture is really confusing to me and I have never once sat down to think ‘I wonder what this person would want!!’

#Catima 2.37.0 is out!

This release features a redesigned logo, kindly contributed by il-Luca (github.com/il-Luca) and Aeven-Dev (github.com/aeven-dev).

The redesign was kept very close to the original design from TangentFoxy (github.com/TangentFoxy), to try to not affect people's ability to recognize the app in their app drawer.

Coming soon to an app store near you.
