#Conversations_im is doing pretty extensive DNS caching. If you set the TTL of your DNS records relatively high (86400 seconds for example) Conversations can avoid some round trips during connect. Another round trip can be avoided if you prioritize the _xmpps-client SRV entry. This can significantly improve the performance in rough networking environments.
In good networks we can establish a full connection in under 500ms.

Tomorrow, I'll have had my Ableton Move for exactly one year, so I finished a silly sequence I started a few weeks ago. Four tracks. No overdubs or weird tricks with the drum rack. Just lots of step entry and automation. I call this one Happy Saw Times, because it started out as this happy F major sawtooth thing.

@FreakyFwoof Okay, will check it out, I'm not a musician by any stretch of the imagination, at least with a keyboared, I played the French horn for a decade, but still though, very interesting.
@LeonianUniverse @FreakyFwoof I played French Horn for ... less than a decade. Fun instrument. Also did woodwinds, guitar, bass, drums, etc. but primarily a keyboard guy when I get the chance to do that, which is almost never anymore.
@FreakyFwoof Looked at the website and the YOuTUbe video, and might be something I get next year if life doesn't throw me a curveball. I want an easy way to make music, and at least with my KK A61, it felt like too many options for me to really get in to this kind of thing and decision paralysis is definitely a thing, so I stopped because I couldn't decide what I wanted to do music-wise, that and I don't know how to play a Piano, but this sounds a lot easier to work with.
@LeonianUniverse @FreakyFwoof I didn't get too far with KK for many of the same reasons, then life went to hell. Now I don't have a place to set up a keyboard. I still find myself missing my Yamaha Motif and Ensoniq TS-12 with all of their limitations. That's kind of why I like Move so much. It makes you think about things differently.
@FreakyFwoof It is one of those things where I have ADHD and therefore so many ideas for music that I want to create that pop in to my head all the time, but then it sorta fades away as soon as I step toward my KK A61 keyboard, it just basically completely dies off, I'm hoping the Move can solve that problem with the limitations involved.

Hello there! Thanks so much for the Audio Capture app. Tested it and it works amazingly well on my machine. Recording screen reader demos for work will be so much easier now. I know this is not the purpose of the project but would you consider adding a push-to-talk feature for the microphones where pressing a holding a specific key temporarily unmutes a mic and turns down the other processes's audio by a configurable amount? This could enable simple, old-school radio DJ'ing.

In that case we have a dynamip IP and a local DNS override (meaning in wifi, ther server dns is a local ip and from 5g it's a public ip)
