#EpsteinFiles #MAGA
It's going to get much worse. MAGA are furious and in open revolt and not just about Epstein. They're not happy with the level and violence of the deportations and want more. They're demanding the public execution of 'deep state' criminals they were promised for 8 years.

Trump's Epstein strategy could pit him against loyal supporters

In defending how his administration is handling supposed files... he says "some stupid Republicans" fell for a hoax.

How Big Tech Exploits Apps to Circumvent Privacy Laws

Despite GDPR, CCPA, and CPRA, Big Tech continues to bypass data protection laws through a powerful loophole: mobile apps.

Android, iOS, and Windows apps operate as closed surveillance ecosystems, where Terms of Service and permissions legally transform your smartphone into a data extraction tool.

Anyone experienced with doing really long and repetitive json with Json-GLib that can tell me if there's something obvious I'm missing about how to make this less unpleasant to work with? This seems like a fucking slog

My favorite DOS spreadsheet was As-Easy-As. It's probably still my most-favorite spreadsheet ever. 🤓

I recently interviewed As-Easy-As coauthor Paris Karahalios about how the spreadsheet got started (analyzing Chernobyl data!) and growing TRIUS Inc.

It's a long interview, but a super interesting one with loads of detail! 👍

Do I keep this stopwatch running or reset and stop it.

It's been going since July 2023 and has survived a phone transfer (intact, surprisingly).

This has definitely got to be a world record. It definitely isn't where Apple got to testing. It is broken, the milliseconds flash (not actually counting) and the seconds only update every 20 seconds or so. I did report to Apple but they never got back to me.

“In a time when so many people are careless, and so many people lack moral courage, it’s up to us to double down on care and courage. And that’s a hell of a lot easier, and a hell of a lot more powerful, if we do it together” — Andrew Kassoy, co-founder of #BCorp

Well, that was weird.

I have a microphone up in the room, which is connected to a DBX 286S dynamics processor, which is set up as a compander.

A couple of rooms away, a paper shredder was turned on.

The ratio of the gate, when I am speaking nowhere near the microphone, has an odd modulation effect, so naturally, I had to record it before the paper shredder got turned off.

I just released version 4.0.0 of my #Digalog #watchface for #garmin.

I'm impressed by the neoliberal circular logic here.

The U.S. DoD "had" to move off its own computers to the cloud to save money. But the only way the cloud was cheaper was if Microsoft employed people in China at much lower wages to maintain it. So they "had" to invent American "digital escorts."

Basically, the cloud is only cheaper for the U.S. military if it is completely and totally compromised by its most powerful geopolitical adversary... 🤔

Ah, just ordered like $150 of meats, snacks, and other items from magyardeli.com/ - for Hungarians such as myself, this place is a nice haven of products shipped out of Florida, rather than Hungary directly. I had purchased some products from the european-products.net store, which appears to have a larger selection, but they ship direct from Hungary, which means shipping can take as long as 2 weeks. Super excited though to get this new set of stuff, including some yummy smoked sausage!

The Orbit Player starts shipping July 21!
Order now first batch quantity are limited.
You can place your order online here:

A while ago, I posted about “views”, a new definition we've been working on at AGWG, the group that makes WCAG.

Good news, we resolved on using a specific definition (draft). Updated my post to explain: hidde.blog/views/#heading-5

thanks to all who chimed in, and specifically the efforts of co-chair
@alastc to make this happen

This is the real future of AI: ordering mid chicken at Bojangles through an AI-powered assistant.

It's world emoji day. Did you know we had emojis in the 1980s and 1990s? We did. They were invented in 1982. In this blog post, we look at how emojis worked without graphics, where we used them before the Internet, and how they proliferated. #retrocomputing dfarq.homeip.net/emoticons-in-…
