If you're on the East Coast, tune in 1110 kHz AM at night to hear WBT from Charlotte, NC playing non-stop "lounge" music. They moved their Talk format to FM, so this is a filler until they unveil a new format on AM. WBT's 50,000 watt signal covers "Maine to Miami" at night via skywave. US Border agents just shot two people in Portland, Oregon today.

It's almost as if they are intentionally trying to desensitize us to their violence, to make us accept that they will kill whoever they want, whenever they want.

Was aber nicht unbedingt bedeutet, dass nun immer mehr Menschen keine Erklärungen mehr hinter ihrem Alltag suchen. Sie suchen nur woanders. Und dafür gibt es längst einen lukrativen Markt - Freikirchen und Esoterik aller Art. Anhand zweier fiktiver, aber lebhaft vorstellbarer Charaktere namens „Manfred Gruber“ (der enttäuschte Leistungsträger) und „Anette Kowalski“ (die kalte Sozialingenieurin) wird man hier in die (Un)tiefen der modernen transzendentalen Schaumschlägerei entführt, deren Ideologeme typischerweise auch in Klimawandelleugnung, Biologismus und Faschismus münden. Mich interessieren v.a. 2 Punkte. Gibt es spezielle Beratungsstellen? Und gibt es Hilfsangebote, wie man Belastung steuern kann? Ich tippe bei mir auf "Fatigue mit Belastungsintoleranz". Über Tipps und Kontakte bin ich dankbar. 🥰🥰🥰

@Bri That’s who inspired me, yes, but golden hour wasn’t the song that inspired it. It was his piano playing in general that I really liked and wanted to draw ideas from. I still have to work out a few things because honestly that piano sounds like crap, but it was the best I could come up with since my native instrument stuff isn’t working at the moment. I wish the damn thing would just automatically update.

I have been developing accessible websites for five years as a freelancer. Some clients seek standards compliance, others don't. Although I love educating clients and getting them on a pathway to standards, I want to be doing all accessible work to standard all the time.

I am looking at the CPACC then adding the WAS for the CPWA combo. What do you think?

Something interesting I’ve noticed. I can’t speak for fedi as a whole, but I’m not seeing the quote post feature used as much as I thought I would. I know of only two or three people who use it regularly.
This isn’t a post for or against the feature. I’m just surprised I haven’t seen more people using it, especially since people have been requesting it for years.

Teď mám šanci přežít, pokud mne nezasype sníh. Napadl další 1 cm 😃

Ještě si pustím kousek filmu Everest, ať to má tu atmosféru komplet.

Už jsem před lety přežil lednovou noc na Sněžce ve spacáku a igelitovém pytli. Tam fučelo fest i v závětří u polské UFO stavby.

Pak několikrát únorové bivakování u slůňete pod vrcholem Králického sněžníku.

I've pushed a couple of #NVDARC updates. The Mac build I sent for review yesterday adding a self hosting option for be controlled mode is now live, plus a few more improvements/fixes to said mode as well. On iOS, some improvements to custom shortcuts, Gesture presets and a bug where if you had sticky modifiers disabled and sent a letter from the type text keyboard with modifiers down would result in the modifiers not going back up is also fixed. testflight.apple.com/join/edg8…

Our stance simplified: we want to make private communications available to anyone on the planet.

Problem: governments everywhere tend to want to control and contain private communications. While Iran and Russia might be contemporary poster examples trying to control private communication, almost all of the "Western" countries have similar control-tendencies, EU Chatcontrol, UK Online Safety Act, US KOSA etc.pp. And we often call those out. Without private communication, things are bleak.

@jrp mostly, it works, yes, despite various state attempts to block it. and we are working on making it harder, based on some R&D heavy revisions of how delta chat actually works internally. Last big change was delta.chat/en/2025-08-04-encry… which is in fact enabling another level of resilience and decentralization but that will be published about in a future blog post likely in spring 2026.
