@KyleBorah I know - it is the same for most companies though - it is very complex to setup for an employee in a new country, unless you already have an office or staff in that country. There are also regulations we need to follow as a registered charity in Australia. (I'm not across all the details myself, although we certainly have looked into it, and as and when things change, we'll certainly share!)

If I did not trust my government to spy on me - and that is always the threat; governments don't care about tracking citizens of other countries - why would I buy a phone made in my own country? A government has more influence to wield over domestic producers than it does one in another country. If I needed a secure phone I would certainly buy the Chinese made Librem 5 phones. I really don't care if the CCP knows the intimate details of my life. I DO care that my own government would.

And to my fellow disabled technologists, we should be thinking about how we can make our own accessibility through more powerful assistive technology. I'm particularly interested in what we can do with multi-modal large language models like GPT-4. Until GPT-4 itself is more widely available, there's also LLaVA (llava-vl.github.io/). I should really start playing with that this weekend.

@shipp Thanks for your feedback, we'll see what we can do! It syncs after logging in as your inbox rules are encrypted and only applied after you decrypted these with your password. This way we make sure that we know nothing about your emails/content/rules.

how do you distinguish "C mistakes" from "non-C mistakes"? Just memory safety, or also considering better abstractions that would've been used in anything other than a line-by-line translation?
The sharp uptick in 2014 is interesting. Was there a particular effort that year that exposed so many (valgrind?), or just the randomness of data? I didn't see you discuss the history in your blog post.

@cocoaphony the graph shows when the flaws were introduced, not found. I really don't know how it happened so much in that particular period. We have adjusted and improved internals since then, which possibly have helped.
@ArneBab clearly the c mistake share has decreased significantly the last two years. I suppose we will learn if this was just a fluke or something real as we go forward!
interestingly this looks like it's one of the cases where one average does not seem to fit. Looks like either the cause is recent or very old; not much in between. Maybe plot with two averages?
