Please, make sure that UserWay does manual testing by actual disabled users, not just automated scanning and remediation. If not, the AI is likely to break accessibility rather than improve it. One of his most underrated songs. By the way: I recently discovered that George Michael’s albums are reworked in 3D audio on Apple Music now. Gives them a whole new and deeper sound. And because in many of the 3D mixes, compression and other artifacts are turned down, or off, most instruments sound more natural. I like this 3D Audio trend a lot.

It is an Austrian company that manufactures and sells sustainable, organic furniture, bed room stuff, and so on. Imagine a small "Bed, Bath & Beyond" but really everything organic, sustainable and preferably local.
I bought a few items there and I usually really like how they approach all the sustainability topics, and would like to continue buying stuff there.
The "Herr Imdat" (Mr. Imdat...) is ok because I registered there before I came out and never bothered to correct it.
But the "Liebe Kundin/lieber Kunde" is NOT ok ("Dear [female] customer/dear [male] customer"). But... this letter is from their local branch, so, I'm on my way to fix this stuff in person...
Seems to me that, at least in most cases, companies just don't need to know their customers' gender. If I remember correctly, all the times I've implemented a registration form for an online service, I didn't prompt for the customer's gender. Not because I was aware of gender issues (I certainly wasn't when I started in the industry over 20 years ago), but more out of laziness.
@matt In Germany, alas, usually they want it because of the super-gendered language and the fact that they really want to have different salutations. But here, it is just plain stupid.
Companies who want to be neutral use the salutation “Good day firstname lastname”, but others still stuck to this stupidity.

@mamue @jimmysjolund by knowing the history we can learn more from it. Having more a detailed view of the past allows me to draw better graphs of development and changes over time. Also: more data draws a more complete picture and help educating users.

I DO NOT care much about the logo, but about stable functionality and a stable workflow! Software is a tool, it has to be handy! We should not lose sight of priorities. If i want ornaments, i'll buy a vase! 😎
I like the new logo, but to me the right one looks annoyed. I think the eye gives it that look. I think the expression of the bird in the old logo was a bit better.
The envelope doesn't look like a square envelope because it cuts off in the middle of nowhere. It can't get cut off because of the background and the blue "feather" part in the foreground has a bunch of empty blue background space between it and the envelope. The flap also still makes it look like a clock especially for the android adaptive icon which this doesn't address. If someone who doesn't know what thunderbird is saw the android adaptive icon they would think it"s a clock app
@teamtuck People don't like change lol. @obsidian just did a re-brand, which I think is better but more importantly was to avoid copyright issues, and there's a lot of people upset about the change trying to find ways to revert it lol
@roguefoam @teamtuck @obsidian Another perspective: the logo has gone largely unchanged since 2004. We recognize that possibly millions of Thunderbird users have spent more time with it than they've had the same job, or the same relationship.
It sounds silly, but people get attached. I think the criticism that arose from the change comes from a place of passion for the brand. And that's pretty cool.
@roguefoam @obsidian I think the way I read your post was that people were angry because the "thunderbird" looked mad/angry, not because the logo changed. Change is not always a bad thing so I commend you guys for updating the logo; I think it looks great! Keep up the good work. I think the Mac app has been a fantastic alternative to Outlook.
I think the new logo looks great! Still, I think there is something to improve. The pastel color palette of the new logo does not really harmonise with the bold one of Firefox. The logo also feels comparably flat, even though it uses additional shadow. Furthermore, the corners are way rounder and do not give the sharp feeling of the Firefox logo. To showcase the harmony and same heritage of Thunderbird and Firefox, the two logos should be similar regarding basic design principles.
