Is there a good, simple todo list app/service for recurring tasks? Something where we can mark each item as needing to be done daily/weekly/monthly and have it reset? Bonus points if we can just open an app/page on a tablet and keep it that way?
My partner is looking for something other than printed task lists to manage personal care attendants. We want to check "Empty laundry" one morning, then have it reset for the next morning's shift. Obviously more than that, but we also need it to be simple so it doesn't confuse the tens of new attendants coming through here every month.
It feels like Monday all over again. So did yesterday. So did Monday. STOP IT WITH THE MONDAYS! I have nothing against them, it's not Thursday, after all, but that's not how the week goes.

Auf Grund eines akuten Anfalls von Fettfingerrigkeit bestellte ich neulich FFP2 Masken in der Kindergröße, anstatt der regulären Größe. Da der Händler die falsch bestellten Masken, im Rahmen des "Umtauschs" in die Erwachsenengröße nicht zurück haben wollte, habe ich nun 120 FFP2 Masken in der Kindergröße übrig und zu verschenken. Die Masken kommen jeweils in 20er Packs. Bevorzugt würde ich möglichst viele en Block abgeben wollen, um Versandkosten zu sparen.
Vermutlich eher weniger. Ob es die hier wirklich nicht gibt oder ob sich Niemand traut es zuzugeben, weil damit der eigene perfekte Anstrich ein Kratzerchen bekommen könnte, vermag ich nicht zu beurteilen. Ich könnte mir aber vorstellen, dass hier extrem schnell ge- und verurteilt wird, und dass auch das eine Rolle spielt. Ich glaube, dass etwas Realismus diesem Nerzwerg gut täte und etwas weniger schwarz oder weiß und absolute Wahrheiten.

Weniger ist mehr: Klare Regeln für Farbkontraste und semantische Bedeutungen schaffen Übersichtlichkeit, Transparenz und Vertrauen. Limettengrün für Bestätigungen, Rot für Warnungen. Konsequent umgesetzt, vermeiden sie kognitive Überlastung und manipulatives Design.

1024 with SI units. And if you're willing to get creative with typography, you can fit it into 3 decimal digits, if you allow to reuse the decimal separator position.
In the imaging suite I maintain, the free memory indicator looks like this
1024 since KB, MB etc. is more ambiguous than KiB and MiB. Possibly only as a default and a flag to change to 1000, but I can't think of a reason beyond contrarianism for why anyone would prefer it.
@juliank we've been 1024-based for about twenty-five years, out of which Ubuntu has shipped it as-is for a large portion already. But feel free to patch.
@juliank As far as I understand, Ubuntu does not forbid using the base-2 prefixes (1024-based units), as long as they are properly using KiB and not KB.
I think that for reporting of the speed (preferably in kbits/Mbits/Gbits per second) 1000-based units should be used as in telco-world, it was never 1024-based. But for file sizes, 1024-based units should be used, properly marked as KiB, MiB, GiB.
I’m really torn on this. On the one hand, decimal sizes are easier to understand for newcomers and easier to calculate in your head, while binary is easier to represent in hex and binary formats (and makes more sense when discussing actual bits).
As long as you label it correctly either is fine. e.g. use MiB/KiB if it's using 1024. That said, using 1024 units with those suffices has the advantage of being completely unambiguous thanks to the abuse of the SI prefixes in computing.
