Every hashtag on every post on every platform should always be pascal case. I wrote this to illustrate how screenreaders read hashtags based on their case.

Alternatively, our screen readers, particularly speech synthesizers and Braille translators, should be smarter. espeak-ng is already pretty good at splitting all-lowercase compound words. I'm not one who believes that the sighted majority should all have to put in extra effort to accommodate us; our tools should do as much of the adapting as possible.
And yes, taken to its logical extreme, this means that screen readers should use machine learning to reconstruct UI content and semantics from pixels, rather than developers having to make their GUIs accessible). I think we'll eventually get there. But that's way harder than handling all-lowercase hashtags. And requiring all social media users to change their habits just for us is a much bigger ask than requiring application and GUI toolkit developers to implement accessibility.

Kurzer Tipp: Roman, Erzählung, Novelle etc. sind Genres, keine Kategorien; Kategorien sind eher "Themenbereiche": Ein Roman kann ein Abenteuer, Drama, Historisches etc. sein.
PS: Gibt es unter Euch jemanden, der auf Bookwyrm unterwegs ist? Vielleicht findet/wisst Ihr ja zu einigen der "unbeschriebenen" Bücher auch noch passende Beschreibungen/Rezensionen, die verlinkt/zitiert werden könnten?

Any thoughts yet on where accessibility fits in the project roadmap? I'd say that's necessary for making Servo a practical embeddable web rendering engine, except perhaps in some appliance-type use cases.
#fluffychat 1.9.0 has been released with some bugfixes, performance improvements and more Material You design. It now even uses the accent color on Ubuntu.
when will flathub be updated - running 1.8 on my librem 5 currently. works much better than chatty, imho. the only downside i see is that title bar a mobile device doesnt need... :)
I am using the AppImage for Linux. It also happened when using the web client on Firefox.
I figured out a workaround as well. Opening the spam folder to let it load, going to settings and coming back directly will show me the emails in that folder. It worked on Firefox too.
