nemůžu se připojit na svůj server aplikace ho "nevidí", to je bolest elementu jako takového. Často člověk neví, proč to nefunguje, kdyby to aspoň napsalo jsi debil, nemáš aktuální verzi, nebo jsi to špatně nastavil. Achjo.
jj, tomu to funguje všechno suprově, já spíš narážím na to, že jsem rozjet vlastní instanci je tak zbytečně složité bez nějakého uceleného návodu, že je to velká škoda.
@jan bohužel. A bohužel to mnohdy nezachrání ani ten návod, protože množství proměnných je nekontrolovatelné. Proto jsem se na to vykašlal a raději to svěřil Zdeňkovi. Za prvé mu to funguje a za druhé, když náhodou ne, mám komu nadávat a nemusím si vztekle leštit pleš 😇
@jan Ahoj, nejede to z duvodu stare verze Synapse, mas 1.97.0, aktualni je 1.118.0 - v nejnovejsi neni treba pak uz nic vic nastavit (driv byvala separatni proxy, ale "simplified sliding sync" je nyni nativne soucasti synapse).
@mahdi tak už jsem na verzi 1.118.0 a pořád stejné 😞 Máte někdo nějaký nápad? 100% mám něco špatně nastavené, ale když to nezobrazí žádnou chybu, špatně se to ladí.

There seems to be a lot of code, but tests are counted too. 16'540 lines for the source code only, and 12'430 for the tests (8k dedicated to the fuzzing corpus, 4k for the unit tests)
I attribute the big jump to my recent "add tests everywhere" addiction

TIL: the practical minimum RAM requirement for OpenWrt is now 64 MB. openwrt.org/supported_devices/… I remember when 8 MB of RAM was adequate for a basic Linux desktop. For that matter, I'm pretty sure my first Linux install in 1996 was in 4 MB of RAM, but that might have been too tight for X11 in practice.
@nick Yeah, I saw your post about that earlier today. I remember Alpine taking some time to boot on the "stupid things with computers" show on my old-ish Dell mini PC (the one time it booted successfully, that is). But that Alpine install is long gone, and I don't remember how much of that boot time was the BIOS, the boot loader, etc.
@nick Jeez, did I rant about software inefficiency once a week when we did that show? (I jumped into the middle of the show and found the part where I'm doing the first kernel compile and we're having that discussion.) I guess I still do rant about that fairly often. Still haven't rewritten RIM all in Rust, though. Can't make a business case for it.

@nick Just got to the right part of the show. The successful Alpine Linux boot using my first pared-down kernel configuration took about 45 seconds. Again, I don't know how much of that was the BIOS/UEFI and/or the boot loader. Sometime I should install Alpine on that mini PC again and see if I can tighten up that boot process. I always struggled to get the boot sequence on that box to do what I wanted, though, particularly booting from a USB drive to do the install.
The VM currently running HKC's Icecast server apparently runs off KVM, RedHat, so probably Libvirt. Took, conservatively, 20 seconds to come back to full having hit the reboot command. Probably less. That shocked me, I'd never seen anything KVM-based do that. Yes on HyperV, but never KVM.
Yeah. I tend to move hKC infrastructure around in order to do some research. The phones are the only thing that stay static on Synchresis's stuff, as, frankly, that's our bread and butter. Today, HKC Icecast lives here. extravm.com/
