Patřím mezi ty, kteří se v listopadu ‘89 zapojili do dění. Když jsme se poprvé v úzkém kruhu sešli, abychom založili místní Občanské Fórum, ještě jsme měli strach, že nás rozežene Veřejná bezpečnost. A že to schytáme, jako všichni ti, kteří byli odvážní před námi.
Patřím mezi ty, kterým svoboda přinesla zajímavý a naplněný život. Vrhla jsem se do studií a potom do práce, která mi přinesla úspěch. Nic takového by se nestalo, kdybych se narodila o 20 let dříve. Dnes se cítím svobodným člověkem a svoji svobodu si skutečně užívám.
Patřím mezi ty, kteří si přejí, aby se nic z toho bolševického zla už nevrátilo. Jistě, mnoho věcí se dalo udělat jinak a lépe. Nikdo ale neměl manuál, jak na to. Proto jsem spokojena s tím, co se nám, naší společnosti, podařilo. Není to málo. Dost lidí ale už zapomnělo.
Patřím mezi ty, kteří nikdy nezradí myšlenku, se kterou jsme v listopadu ‘89 vyšli do ulic. Pokud nás bude víc, neprohrajeme. Možná se zdá, že tentokrát dostaneme přes držku. Možná. Ale naši oponenti nemají, kromě lží a prázdných slibů, co nabídnout.

Deleting my Twitter account. I've been here two years now and I was barely using Twitter anyway. Made an account there back in October 2010 and while it has been a positive experience for me, it clearly went downhill when Elon took over. (it was getting worse before that, it just got accelerated)

Last year I made a PR allowing for local directories listing and wanted to do the the same for smb, but without success. I think succeeding requires knowledge of Windows APIs. @Rako_Lohgar 😢 Muss ja kein Pixel sein. Bei mir laufen die Geräte auch, bis sie physisch auseinanderfallen (main driver ist noch immer ein Fairphone 2 von 2015 – Dank LineageOS mit Android 11). Ich weiß jetzt nicht welches Gerät Du hast, aber ein CustomROM könnte Dir vielleicht zu einer aktuelleren Android-Version helfen. Lineage deckt ziemlich viel ab, und DivestOS auch viele ältere, die LOS nicht mehr supported (wenn ich mich da jetzt richtig erinnere)…

Really happy with how my latest embroidery project turned out. I used a pattern from a magazine (credit to www.lucyfreeman.co.uk) Learned some new techniques, my favourite being sewing with multiple different colour threads on the same needle to blend colours together!
I have enjoyed Mike Duncan's Revolutions Podcast for years. This fall though he is shipping a fictional piece about a revolution on Mars in the 2200s. Having listened to his historical accounts, I do quite like him using the same tone with a fictional revolution.
History doesn't repeat itself, but it rhymes as they say.
It was incredibly strange to hear the start of the Mars story, in the exact same format and voice as the ten revolutions covered in the main show, but I quickly got into it. He's a great storyteller.

This makes curl is perfect for checking checksums (curl ... | sha256sum -) and checking API results and I always use curl for that. This also makes curl harder to use for downloading files, so I always use wget for that. I's good to have a choice, and to have different tools available for different situations.
I always feel embarrassed, alone at home in my office with nobody watching me of course, when I run curl, see it dump my file to stdout and then use wget instead because I cannot immediately remember how to properly make a file with curl, even though I could spend 30 seconds looking it up. 😅
