I wrote something a bit experimental. A story set in a world without planning, hierarchy, coercion; where decisions are made in the moment. It's a little weird, but someone may like it.

@CreativeChris @lerven Same here. Also, I'm in Europe, so I had to arrange everything with Shubh, it was a breeze actually. But my first red alert was when we the community had this question like, when can we expect any updates? And they are like: what kind of updates, what do you need? I mean, what do we need? Video calls maybe, WhatsApp, normal voice in the earpiece and not through the phone speaker?
@menelion @CreativeChris I had a lot of issues with using them in low-light, response times, the mono audio earpeace being in my bad ear, the subscription model. I appreicate they gave it a great attempt, and i'm hoping others can learn from this project.

Is the YouTube version appreciably better visually? I prefer the audio in the Wikipedia version. But mainly I provided a direct link to that WebM file from the Wikipedia version in case it's easier to download.
I was just listening to the two of them at the same time (well, very nearly, since I manually synced them), and at around 17:30, after "anyone who tells you otherwise is lying", they fell out of sync by about half a second. I couldn't tell which version had fallen behind.

Ever seen fancy italics, bold text, or even gothic letters in a slick marketing post on social media?
These platforms do not offer text formatting, so people use weird mathematical characters from the fringes of the Unicode spectrum. And because they aren't really letters screen reader software will announce them as silence or incomprehensible garbage.
I posted something on Mastodon that uses Unicode math symbols to produce fake bold and fake italic text. I used YayText.com to generate it, but I am not linking it because you I don’t want you to use it.

New open source 3B TTS model just released called Orpheus Speech. The main difference with this one is it's not just a bass model, they fine-tuned on several speakers. Training code is also provided, and they will release more sizes over the next few days. The Huggingface has gone offline, I'm assuming to correct some errors, but I was able to test and the voices sound great. I'm not sure the model will do well on long text, they have it capped at around 20 something seconds in this demo, though it can go longer than that. You will likely need to feed the text in chunks, this is what Eleven Labs do for their Reader app.
