This is a repository of apps to be used with your F-Droid client. Applications in this repository are official binaries built by the original application developers, taken from their resp. repositories (mostly Github, GitLab, Codeberg).
It's tragic: ViMusic was a clean, minimal YouTube Music client. It was almost perfect. Only downloading was missing. RiMusic forked it and added downloading and millions of other features. It quickly was not clean or minimal anymore. And now, even it is no longer updated.
So there is a (IMHO) shady market out there that gives app developers on iOS, Android, MacOS and Windows money for including a library that sells users network bandwidth. Infatica [1] is just one example, there are many more.
I am 99% sure that these companies cause what effectively are DDoS attacks that many webmasters have to deal with since months. This business model should simply not exist. Apple, Microsoft and Google should act.
Playing with various technologies tonight. Managed to setup a brand new debian 12 systemd-nspawn container. Now looking through various documentation and other internet sources to combine it to a working #chatmail relay server. The thing is I only have a single IP address on the host system so I need to adapt it so the nginx running on the host either redirects or proxies to the container. Plus I guess I need to share the certificate in some way so postfix and dovecot can use it too.
Toto je úplně na pendrek! Přitom v tom Connect je hromada věcí, co by se daly zlepšovat. Například by mohli přidat podporu ActivityPub :) Klidně bych platil něco jako €5 měsíčně za to, že to budou dál zlepšovat namísto běžné enshittifikace. Na to to ale zatím moc nevypadá…
(Nicméně by to byla geniální malicious compliance. Management chce AI, tak tam vývojáři hodí jenom jednoduchou statistiku, pár hlášek, a ať si to prodávaj jak chtěj, náš problém to už není.)
@ozzelot Prezentuji to jako AI a zatím jediný co je nového je ten text co jsem poslal . Zrovna u Garminu mě to překvapuje, protože jinak mají vše propracovaný, ale za 9 euro se jim kazdý na to vyprdne.
já používám t3.chat a jsem strašně spokojenej. Mám všechny modely, které potřebuju, za jednu cenu. Jen nové featury, jako generování obrázků, přichází později a “obchod” s GPT modely chybí úplně.

Já bych se i nějakému předplatnému nebránil, ale když jsem viděl ty "fíčury" navíc, nestalo mi to ani za aktivaci bezplatného zkušebního období. Zatím hrozný provar. @jgrulich říkal, že z toho používá jen ty odznáčky za výzvy, které jsou dostupné jen v předplatném.

I recently moved across to my own self-hosted single-user server (using GoToSocial.org). For a bunch of reasons, including visibility across the Fedi, it would really help out.
Despite their Mastodon faceplant, I think the Raspberry Pi 500 could be a great device for using and storing your more sensitive data on, since it has no telemetry and everything can be kept on a high capacity MicroSD card, which can easily be removed and stored away when not in use. Or removed and destroyed quickly and easily in the event that a rogue regime's agents start pounding on your door. Also, the 500 and matching monitor are ~$250 total.
