I heard that KDE could use some fundraising campaign artwork, so calling all artists who may follow me:

  • If you like KDE stuff like Krita or Plasma etc..
  • And if you like Konqi and Katie

We could use some artwork: Drawings of Konqi and Katie for fundraising efforts. Here is a good example: community.kde.org/File:Konqui-…

The promo folk will explain more what they need specifically, I'm mostly a messenger.

It is volunteer work (so very likely no payment) and the artwork will have to have permissive license such as CC-BY-SA. And I understand for many artists that's a lot to ask.. But you never know if you don't ask right?

There's different style campaigns for different holiday seasons. If you're interested, let me know here or my email, and I'll give out details how to contact the promo team. You can also chat with them directly through their Matrix channel: community.kde.org/Get_Involved…

32 years ago today, #FreeBSD was announced for the first time. I haven't tried this OS yet but I can assure you that I will because I want Quark, my OpenSource reverse proxy, to be supported on other Unix systems than Linux.

Many characters are sitting on a branch over a small pond, in nature. The branch bends under the weight of the giant Mastodon mascot. On his head, Carrot is fishing, but only gets a flower. Near him, the mascot of Misskey Ai-chan (a young Japanese student dressed in a school uniform and with cat hears) is fishing: she has caught the mascot of Peertube, an octopus. Here is my new GNU/Linux distribution guide about Debian KDE 12, the right GNU/Linux distribution for professional digital painting in 2024! The second piece I drew for the exhibition I’m taking a part of; and it took quite a while, but I’m super proud of it! I have one more illustration to do with that group of friends :)

Digital Illustration: In a flooded and destroyed subway station, a group of friends is casually having a pool party. One of them is already in the water, waving at the two youngest one at the top of a escalator; he encourage them to slide on it to get into the water, and they seem pretty excited about it. The fourth character was just sitting on the stairs, but she's now very worried that something bad would happen if the kids starts to slide. Nature has completely overtaken this place. Many plants have grown on the wall and on the old advertisement. You can even see two fishes swimming in the water. A beam of light coming from the damaged ceiling is lighting up the whole room.

A digital painting illustration being a parody of an iconic scene of the movie "My Neighbor Totoro" but instead of Totoro it's a big Mastodon, and the two girls are replaced by Pepper and Carrot, the OC of my webcomic. The scene show Mastodon sleeping on the back in the forest, with on his stomach Carrot sleeping and along his arm Pepper sleeping. White butterflies dances in the air around the scene. The artwork is painterly, done quick.
