Honestly, the code is fine. A bit repetitive, you could probably move the prev and next functions out into a separate utility function, take currDevice and the list of devices and the direction and return the relevant device. Would work for both input and output. But other than that it seems fine to me!
@talon yeah, you’re right. I totally could do that. I thought about it, but it was like 3 o’clock in the morning, and I just wanted to get it to work. I also probably hold my code to too high of a standard as it is.
until now I've always been using the Launchbar script for SoundSwitcherOSX. But it was a bit of a pain. So this made things a lot easier. Thanks. Somehow it didn't even cross my mind to make a Hammerspoon for it. And I have no excuse. The mind works in strange ways sometimes.
