You could do this with most cloud services on the cheep, you just need, need a Freelance DevOps Engineer to help you sort it.
@sanguis agreed! I was angling for something a little more turnkey.
It’s like Linux, I like the *idea* of it, and I love that it exists and that people make it work— having attempted to use it on the daily, I spent more time trying to get it working than I did any work on it.
These social platforms need to find ways to be convenient for users where possible. This site is making improvements!
@raviyeejoshi @sanguis The UI layer is evolving. It's much better now that it used to be for Linux. Plus ChromeOS is powered by Linux (as are many other interfaces we interact with on a daily basis). Even Mac is based on BSD, right? Not technically Linux, but most folks wouldn't know the differences.
Not everyone wants to be able to build and maintain the interface. Services for this are coming for the fediverse.
I love this. I can see it taking a while to get used to but when you do you'd be absolutely screwed without it.

This is...absolutely gorgeous...I accidentally fell asleep listening to this on loop (Tusky automatically loops audio) and had a very nice nap. Having woken up again I am hearing more of the details I missed and very much admiring your work!
You just caused me to dedicate the rest of my day to going through my own musical compositions (many of which are unfinished/fragments) and try to properly catalog them and get more of them finished/written out/typeset! My stuff is a mess between multiple binders and my computer and it needs reorganization badly, not to mention my yet-to-be -realized desire to make myself a website to share my works with others. Thank you so, SO much for kicking me into action.
As for what you posted, I found that what you already have almost loops as-is! Alternatively, I could imagine some contrasting section following this, that has other chords, maybe dominated by the dominant (i.e. the V chord, or here, B major) and progressions that lead to it. That could also make for a transition that can loop back to the beginning. My only other suggestion is that I feel the A-sharp (around 00:17 and similar instances) doesn't really fit.
Sidenote: I love the key of E major and this reminds me I have a whole neo-Baroque-style suite to finish up that's in this key.

I'm waiting on approval for the Edge Addons site, but you can optionally install extensions from the Chrome Web Store in Edge. Most other Chromium browsers are the same.
Firefox is a different story because it doesn't fully support Manifest V3 extensions yet. I'll either wait for that or make a slightly-modified build just for Firefox.
Update on the Share to Mastodon extension: Microsoft approved it for the Edge Addons site 🎉

Firefox version is pending approval from Mozilla. I made a quick modified build that works as a Manifest V2 extension, since FF doesn't support service workers in V3 and won't for (at least) several months.

FYI for anyone in the USA with #Type1Diabetes or #Type2Diabetes, and who is struggling to afford insulin.
Canadian pharmacies will ship to the US. Even with shipping, the cost is dramatically lower.
I like, and our son has ordered from, Marks Marine Pharmacy. He had insulin shipped all the way to Texas multiple times without an issue. The staff is incredibly helpful! They'll give you a price over the phone or via live chat.

The anonymous writer is informing Brandy that reports about American students using litter boxes at school is not misinformation, and that they believe kids have been asking for them, but the requests have been denied. The tone of the email is similar to the comments that idiots leave under youtube videos that they don't like.
Brandy is fairly firm in reply that the story has been researched and is misinformation. Aside from some possibly mocking incredulous comments, the main gist of the reply is to please send through specific details relating to the story if the original writer happens to have them.

Some of the calls for Musk to be replaced on Twitter are well-intentioned, such as this one from @attorneynora, a (genuine) advocate for freedom of expression (also a teaching colleague): cnn.com/2022/12/20/opinions/el…
Replacing Musk won't fix a thing, unfortunately, because he'll still be Twitter's absolute dictator.
What we need to do is replace Twitter -- not with another VC-driven centralized monolith but rather a decentralized federation (maybe the one we're using now).

I've cleared out a storage unit and am going through old papers, etc. Happily, I found an extensive letter from Edsger Dijkstra to my 19 year old self. The scan is here: levien.com/dijkstra-letter.pdf
This is in response to my somewhat juvenile ideas of explicit continuation passing style and lambda lifting with a sprinkle of communicating sequential processes thrown in. That paper, for reference, is dl.acm.org/doi/pdf/10.1145/709…
I'm still amazed at how generous Dijkstra was with his time.
