Is there a specific reason you're interested in getting EDK2 *with display support* running on the Pocket Reform? Putting resources into that seems problematic to me, because a visual UI in the boot environment will probably not be accessible to blind users, unless one also adds audio drivers and a screen reader. I think it's better for the boot loader to boot into a real OS with a full UI stack as simply and reliably as possible, with no UI in the boot loader itself.
@matt there's already a bootloader that is currently invisible to everyone (u-boot). having a graphical menu at least helps a lot of people to select a different boot source / conjure an emergency shell etc, which is currently only possible over serial

a small correction: the package was not broken because of that Free Palestine banner, but for unrelated technical reasons. However, they picked another solution (grass) rather than the reference implementation (Dart SASS) (presumably) because they did not like the banner. Not to diminish the inherent issue in any way, but I presume a lot of tech/FOSS bros will nitpick on that minor detail instead of the actual problem.
I don't know how to fully speak to the inherent unease in the presumption about how a technical decision was influenced by non-technical personal opinions.
I would certainly prefer that geopolitical concerns would not leak into technical discussions, exactly because of what that does to create uncertainty into whether or not a decision is being made for technically sound reasons..
Having reviewed the totality of the comments, and given the fact that grass is the implementation already in use by the flathub flatpak as mentioned in a earlier ticket comment, grass would have been the implementation I would have chosen to use as the rpm fix,.
I think that is a reasonable defensible technical rationale expressed in the full set of comments to lean towards grass among an otherwise coin flip choice.
to clarify on that: we're not stating that using grass over Dart SASS was the incorrect technical decision, nor are we advocating to use Dart SASS over grass. We take issue with the comment calling that banner antisemitic. The technical outcome is only a coincidence, but it has absolutely nothing to do with what the post is outlining.
I don't know if this will make you feel better, but as a side note: I'm aware that it is your duty as the Fedora Project Leader to protect Fedora's reputation, and as such you need to be extremely careful with what you say online as it could cost your job. I was about to say it's better than nothing, but at this point I'm not really sure if it is actually better; in fact, I think it's significantly worse. All I can see happening with an unpunishing warning is it'll shut him up, but it won't change in any way that he's a dangerous person to keep around and will upset Palestinians.

you're not reading the bug report right. the flatpak is broken because the package was built using rubygem-sass (the sass compiler fedora packages often tend to use), but it turns out that doesn't support some bits fractal needs (hence the bug). the comment you linked is saying that using *either* grass *or* dart-sass instead should fix the problem, and he chose grass because he didn't like dart-sass' opinions.
