During the Berlin XMPP sprint, some XMPP developers worked on message formatting. Previously, formatting was done using simple markup (e.g. *bold*), which sometimes leads to unintended formatting and is limited in functionality. We now decided to transmit formatting information outside of the normal text, with optional fallback to markup for legacy clients. We worked on improving the specification and on support in three different clients, including @dino.

Authy? Authy requires a phone number. Hackers stole 33 million phone numbers of Authy users this month. Also, Authy does not have an export token option. Having to migrate my tokens from Authy to 2FAS manually was still worth it.

Life is a bit harder yes. But you can't replace the feeling that you can sleep safer at night with any "convenience" offered by big tech.
Apart from the safety feeling, there is the human interaction at the support department. When using services from small businesses you actually get to speak with real people when you have an issue with the service.
Some nice suggestions, but feels a bit disingenuous, so to speak, to not include *any* other e-mail service :P Anyway, OrganicMaps should definitely add alongside OsmAnd (I'm a little biased here hehe)
still Google Lens has no alternative there are much FLOSS OCR apps, but they don't translate, QR code apps are separate and still we lack an image search tool. @plasmamobile @degoogle
I use many of these but email has never been a concern of mine. What else I use for non-google on my Android phone :

DuckDuckGo is regurgitated big tech censored results full of dis and misinformation. Yandex and Mojeek are superior choices.
Authy is not a great choice.
Leaving Rumble, Odysee, Brighteon and others out of the video streaming mix leaves users locked into the highly censored, 1984ish government controlled information paradigm. A huge disservice to your users.
And of course Proton makes excellent products that fit several of those categories.
nice. But you also need to add the much better Google Docs/Apps/Drive or MSO 365 & OneDrive replacements: NextCloud and OnlyOffice. Quite compelling in my experience.

After a bit of searching I found out there's a "magic" ZIP code that means "elsewhere not in the US" that they're supposed to accept (it might be 99999).
@hub they USED to not have a PIN. As mentioned else thread, in recent years the CC circuits have started a "forced" upgrade campaign: in case of fraud (and it's extremely easy with mag band and no PIN) the retailer is not covered by insurance and is responsible out of pocket.
This is making a lot of them upgrade.
But of course there's a giant inertia (and backlog).
@hub @renatoram my bank offered me the option of setting a PIN for my new credit cards. But with 1 exception, I've never used it.
Cards don't just get a PIN code, they also have a priority which can be "use PIN always" / "use PIN only in unattended POS" / various. The bank set mine to "Unattended" which means I can use it to buy things at automated kiosks (like for a train ticket). But if I go to a checkout counter with a clerk, the PIN *cannot* be used, and a signature is required instead.

Yes, actions are supported and it is up to the apps' devs to include them, although there are actions that are only reachable via Jieshuo like in WhatsApp, and there are others that Jieshuo cannot recognize like the actions in the notification shade. Some years ago Fracture Sounds made a library called 'Box Factory' in which they abused a great deal of boxes of all shapes and sizes, and it's very fun. I made a silly track using said library called 'A Bunch Of boxes' and this is what it does. #FractureSounds

@jcsteh I think that Damage must appear in every other film, and/or every other Netflix drama, it's a right of passage or something. I literally cannot turn around for hearing it. lol
Yeah, that's one reason I'm very conflicted about my repeated use of it. It's just so over-used and easy to over-use. But also, I decided I don't really care as long as I think it sounds good. I used to get very tied up in all that stuff: trying to be different, trying to not over-use something because it's over-used everywhere else, etc. I eventually decided that I'm better off being true to what I think sounds good, and if people don't like it, that's unfortunate, but such is life.
@jcsteh You're quite right. Do you have one of the Ultimate versions of Komplete? If so, go back through Evolve, Evolve R2 and Evolve Mutations 2. Same company, tons of very hidden gems if you haven't spent time with them, you'll find new ways of making stuff sound fantastic. Lots of people don't use those.
Thanks for the tip. The friend I write music with recently suggested the same thing, so definitely going to take a dive when I get some time. I have Komplete 13 Collectors. Action Strikes is another library we tend to over-use.

@jcsteh Damage is Heavyocity, not Native Instruments. Just to credit where credit is due :). It however made its way into Komplete, which is kinda great, because Damage and Damage 2 are awesome products indeed.
hehe I tend to shuffle the entire folder and flick through until something catches my ear, to go with whatever theme i'm looking for. It's quite possibly I've heard it and it didn't suit what I wanted.
@cachondo It might be worth organising by date modified and playing the first 5-10 seconds of new to old, see if there's stuff in there what might be catchin your ear.
