P (and shift+P) to select a Picture-based background, M (and Shift+M) for a map (not based on OSM), and O for an #OpenStreetMap based one. Backgrounds are curated by the editor layer index.
And of course, Ctrl+F selects the search bar. Btw, a big improvement to search is coming soon.

Der aktuelle Haushaltsentwurf 2025 der NRW-Landesregierung sieht neben Kürzungen an die Spitzenverbände der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege in Höhe von 2,1 Millionen Euro auch Kürzungen bei zahlreichen gesellschaftspolitischen Programmen vor.
Nach unserer Berechnung betragen diese hier aufgezeigten Kürzungen knapp 89 Millionen Euro.

Speaking of old apps: anyone using TimberDoodle (apt.izzysoft.de/packages/de.tu…)? The app is 9 years old and seems no longer maintained. So if it's no longer working (or useful), it should be removed as well.

Zrcadlovku u sebe pokaždé nemám, takže moc nechápu tu poslední větu. Mobil používám k focení, když jsem na kole nebo potřebuji něco rychle vyfotit. Nevím, jak vy, ale kvůli momentce opravdu stativ nepotřebuji.
Tu značku, co to dávno má, používám a je to mnohem lepší než jsem myslel. Žádná dvojzmáčknutí, žádná volba jiného tlačítka, tohle je na první nahmátnutí.
@GuloGulo Mně přijde zbytečné přidávat další tlačítko. A když už by to fakt muselo být, tak bych uvítal abych si na něj mohl pověsit něco jiného. Foťák v mobilu mám jen jako nouzovku.

Travelers can leave key fobs at home should they be accosted. A victim of a break-in can conveniently “lose” or smash a hardware key, erasing any encrypted data. Yes, I know about cold-boot attacks; I don’t recommend at-risk people to leave things decrypted for long durations. I like the idea of spring-loaded key fobs that can’t be left plugged in.
People talking about key fob body implants don’t usually plan for removing them in seconds with plausible deniability.
Wow, I didn't think it would find anything for my hometown, but it actually showed me 6 cigarette and 1 normal vending machine. Where do you get the data from? Might be interesting to tinker with
@fabianstadler Everything is #OpenStreetMap data, so someone added it. You can see the history of an object if you log in and press the green OSM-logo.
And if you know of missing vending machines, you can add them yourself too - that is why the button 'add new feature' is there ;)
@fabianstadler There are so many weird and great things on OpenStreetMap. Check the "Surveillance under surveillance" map theme on MapComplete. And I myself added each and every tree in my city center.
This is an interesting article by a writer who finds that reading a book aloud helps him with comprehension. In fact, he says reading out loud was the custom for most of history, to the point that Augustine wrote about a fellow monk who read silently and thought it was a strange habit:
I certainly never thought about it that way. I even came across the anecdote about Augustine before, but that writer clearly thought that the other guy's silent reading was more advanced, and apparently thought that Augustine admired that ability. Unfortunately I can no longer find that article that I read so long ago.
