I got my new Ableton Move yesterday. The other one gets returned on Monday. So, for the short time I can do it, I put both of them on the floor, linked them together using Ableton Link, made a crappy complimentary sequence on both of them, and recorded this silly thing.

It doesn't matter too much, since the screen reader is currently web-based. It does work a little better out-of-the-box with Voiceover on either Mac or iOS compared to NVDA, but thanks to some code from @tspivey that makes interrupting of regions way, way nicer, I prefer using it with NVDA now. No idea how Jaws does it. I tried it with Talkback/Google Chrome, and it's much less nice there.
@Tamasg I don't think it matters? The screen reader output is done via webpage ARIA Live Regions, so if you can get Mac to do that in a timely fashion, you're good to go as far as I know.
@twynn oooh yeah, I heard the 34-minute overview Onj did on it, quite impressive but also a bit steep from say, a standard stylophone or something much more simple like a synth/looping device as such. Although the flexibility of pads and track layouts being so easy to make are both tempting upsides so for sure considering them the more I hear of it, like that production too.
Speaking of the Stylophone: I got one of those for Christmas a few years ago, and was disappointed to discover that it is not a true synth anymore like the originals. It now plays tiny little samples and has aliasing. BOOOOOO!

The end of an era. On September 24, I used a blade of fresh grass to temporarily mend my glasses after one of the screws fell out in a hay field. I just hoped it would last the day.
Today, 39 days later, it finally started to slip, and I put a metal screw back into the hole. Thank you, blade of grass. You served me incredibly well. Amazing stuff, grass.

Hey folks, thanks to @bagder and @kees , I managed to compute the "Source code age" from the GLPI project, which I'm working on, and it's really fun because we can see a lot of nice information on it!
To sum it up: the code is very dynamic, and compared to Curl (which you can see here: mastodon.social/@bagder/113399… ) , we can definitely see that it doesn't endorse backwards compatibility: there are a lot of refactorings of big parts of the codebase! 🎉
I already sent it to the GLPI internals, and explained how to read the graph, I hope they will be as thrilled as I am! Gosh, I love statistics like that so much I could make it my entire job 😅
Yes, I did find them, it makes me want to create a repo that would generalize such graphics for any repository! Would be quite hard work, but at least adapting one-by-one and generating the stats is already nice!
Though I must admit that your scripts are quite slower, and they're really curl-specific. The python script by @kees for the Linux Kernel is a bit more generic and easier to standardize.
Would take a while to adapt all of these incredible graphics for all repositories, but maybe it's worth it 😅

I think you have some non-main-branch tags in your data set. E.g. The '22 code drops almost to 0 in '23 but then _comes back_ in '24? It shouldn't be possible for that to happen: once it's removed it can't come back. LoC for a given year span can only grow during that year and then it must only shrink.
Just like Symfony and some other frameworks, GLPI has to maintain multiple versions at a time. So I should actually display only the version tags for a specific branch (9.x for instance) and re-run the script alter with the tags from another branch (like 10.x).
