Incidentally:

1. I've deleted my X/Twitter account; have only been using it to get notifications and news from streamers I follow elsewhere anyway
2. I've created an account on bsky: bsky.app/profile/ebassi.bsky.s… — still unsure as to whether I'm going to use it much

Microsoft are effectively giving up on Copilot Pro subscription ($20/month) as almost nobody paid for it.

Instead they are bundling it into Microsoft 365 consumer subscriptions and inflating the renewal prices there. There’s no opt out.

Effectively allows the Copilot revenue and user numbers to be inflated.

With #matrix and oidc I was thinking about offering an official FluffyChat server. It would have some benefits, right? I could have more control over the UX and would be kore independent. On the other hand it would require a lot of work and eval a public legal identity with either an expensive impressum service or publishing my physical address. Also a lot of legal paperwork.

So I came up with a new idea. A new login UX flow where the user picks the homeserver from a trustworthy list
