Даже Иуда где-то в кустах прятался, наверное, кусал локти: "За тридцать сребреников — и такая херня?"

"Отец, — подумал Иисус, — прости их, ибо не ведают, что творят. Но, блин, сколько можно? Я ж не мазохист какой-то. Я проповедовал любовь, а не это цирковое представление!"

Солнце палило немилосердно. Часы тянулись, как патока. Димас снова завёл свою песню:

— Господь, когда Ты в Царствии Своём...

— Заткнись, Димас! — рявкнул Гестас. — Ему не до твоих райских обещаний! Смотри, он уже бредит. Эй, Иисус, скажи хоть слово! "Сейчас же слезу и устрою апокалипсис" или типа того!

Иисус приоткрыл глаза. Толпа внизу не унималась. Какой-то фарисей, жирный, как осёл, орал: "Если Ты Сын Божий, сойди с креста!" Римский солдат, с копьём в руках, зевал и ковырял в носу. Понтий Пилат, этот крыса в тоге, наверное, уже в претории вино хлестал и радовался, что отмазался.

"Надоело, — решил Иисус. — Просто. Надоело. Я ж не для этого пришёл. Чтобы висеть тут, как окорок в коптильне? Нет, братцы, сегодня шоу будет по-моему."

Он глубоко вздохнул. Ветерок шевельнул его волосы, спутанные и мокрые от пота. Толпа затихла на миг — все ждали очередного пророчества или кончины. Но вместо "Се, Боже Мой, почему Ты меня оставил?" из уст Иисуса вырвалось тихое, но твёрдое:

— Хватит.

Гвозди в ладонях задрожали. Не от боли — от вибрации. Крест заскрипел, как старая телега. Разбойники вытаращили глаза.

— Что? — пискнул Димас. — Господь, это конец?

— Нет, — усмехнулся Иисус. — Это начало. Держитесь, пацаны.

С громким крак! гвозди вылетели из дерева, как пробки из шампанского. Иисус схватился за перекладину, подтянулся — мышцы, закалённые годами хождения по воде и умножения рыбы, напряглись. Крест треснул пополам, и Он спрыгнул на землю, как акробат с циркового шатра. Толпа ахнула. Фарисеи попятились, солдаты схватились за мечи.

— Что за...? — заорал центурион, тот самый, с копьём. — Ведьмачество! Взять его!

Но Иисус уже был в деле. Первое, что он сделал, — повернулся к крестам разбойников. Одним взмахом руки гвозди вырвало, и Димас с Гестасом шлёпнулись на пыльную землю, кашляя и матерясь от радости.

— Вставай, Димас, — сказал Иисус, похлопав его по плечу. — Рай подождёт. А ты, Гестас, хватай меч — сейчас поработаем.

Гестас оскалился: — Наконец-то! Я ж говорил, мессия — это по-нашему!

Толпа взорвалась. "Демон! Богохульник!" — визжали фарисеи. Римляне бросились в атаку — десять легионеров с пилумами и гладиусами. Иисус не стал ждать. Он шагнул вперёд, и воздух вокруг него задрожал, как от жара. Первый солдат замахнулся копьём — Иисус просто дунул. Ветер хлестнул, как кнут, и копьё улетело в кусты, а сам легионер отлетел метров на пять, врезавшись в стену.

— Эй, вы! — крикнул Иисус, указывая на толпу. — Я вам три года талдычил: любите ближнего! А вы меня на гвозди? Ладно, сейчас я вам покажу, что такое ближний!

Jews have their own language, their own education system, their own "health codes", etc. and by their own self-identification, if they become fully "French" they could cease in part or in whole to be Jews.

At the lowest level, this makes Jews confusing. They're a functioning system that exists "outside the system"- we see some echoes of this tension in some Arab communities in France today.

For Napoleon, it was both a practical and existential challenge. If France was the height of civilization, then why the hell were these Jews not interested in becoming French? The idea itself is a threat to the new civilization he was building.

And we still see that tension today, with Arabs, but with Arabs there's a understanding of immigration at play.

With Jews.. .what do you do about people who have refused to assimilate for so long that they've seen multiple empires rise and fall?

That confounds many Europeans.

@serge It's a great problem actually, I heard the same about Roma people (you know, the word "Gypsies" is pejorative, I wouldn't use it, just to be on the same page) in the South. they live there for centuries and yet they are separated from the French society. With Arabs though... to me it's other because they are often engaged into proselitism and trying to impose their culture (unlike Jews and Roma). I.e., if there is a critical mass of Arabic population, there will be a ghetto neighborhood often dangerous for non-muslim people, especially women. To be honest, my Israeli friend once told me about such a neighborhood in Israel populated by ultra-mega-orthodox Jews where he was afraid to walk (he is also blind, and, to quote him, "If I touched a woman by accident, I'd really be scared of consequences"). But again, I'm quite new in France and don't really know too much about Jewish communities here. I saw Jews in traditional clothing, with kippah and all, and they all spoke French as natives, so if my wife didn't tell me about their look, I'd never ever thought they are not "native French" people. So... really don't know where is the sweet spot here.

I'm a little surprised. I thought that Bluesky was supposed to be what Twitter isn't. I also had trouble with the CAPTCHA a while back (in theory, the one they use should be accessible, but, unless things have changed recently, their accessibility cookie has not been tested in a while and does not work on modern browsers, at least not out of the box). (Yeah, I could just ask a sighted person to help me with it, but, still, it's a road block and can be demotivating).

It had its last release in 2022, and the source code archived in 2024 – while still being marked "alpha" and "not sure if it works", but we still see around 20 installs (aka downloads by F-Droid clients) per month.

If you want to try this to begin adjusting to it before 2026.1 as I did, put the following in the Python console. Why this "AV" (Age Verification) requiring the upload of documents poses risks which are IMHO not justified by the reason:

What got out? Well, just "… Name, Discord username, email and other contact details … billing information … IP addresses … government‑ID images (e.g., driver’s license, passport) from users who had appealed an age determination"

Well, happy identity thefting then… Remember: what's not there, cannot be stolen 🤷‍♂️

Když jsme volili Pavla, měla jsem celé odpoledne pušťenou tv na #autobusak ových monitorech. Na každé obrazovce bylo něco jiného. A přiznám se, že jednu chvíli jsem i slzu zamáčkla (Ta citlivá dívka ve mně stále dřímá!).

Každopádně, jdu ladit monitory. #autobusak bohužel v práci, holt mu budu psát, co a jak.

Prostě křeslo, pletení na uklidnění, kafe a BUDE TO DOBRÝ! MUSÍ BÝT!

#Einheit - ein ganz schön großes Wort.

Irgendwann stand damals Stagnation, Frust, Hoffnung, Vision, auch Angst.

Dann Widerstand, Aufbruch, neue Ideen, Aktivität.

Leider allzufrüh DMark, Kapitulation, Beitritt, Anschluss.

Für Wiedervereinigung, Einheit, hätte es Augenhöhe bedurft. Die war nicht wahrzunehmen. Klar, (nicht nur) Freude auf beiden Seiten.

Dann aber ein beispielloses Abwerten, Ausverkauf unter Wert, auf Kosten der Lebensleistung Tausender.

Trotz allem auch wieder neue Wege und Energie.

Die Beschreibung, Erinnerung wird immer unvollständig bleiben. Die Standpunkte sind verschieden.

#Wende scheint mir immer noch passender.

Alright, hey people. I usually would not be posting about this, but I wanted to keep myself safe, even though I don't expect this to happen to me. A certain troll has been impersonating people more often as of the past couple days. The only accounts that belong to me are this one ( @Kaliah ) and my alternate account ( @Haven_of_dreams ). No other accounts claiming my name, bio, or anything else belong to me. I have no plans to migrate, create any new accounts, or change this presence in any way, so there's no other anticipated accounts that will exist in the future. Anyone using the Tsumugi web radio app?

It saw its last release in 2019, its repo lies dormant since 2022 with issues ignored – but we still see about 10 downloads per month via F-Droid clients (so app installs). So shall we keep it as "still useful" – or remove it as "It's dead, Jim!"?

The data is now shown directly in the production version. You can link using e.g.:

-> Make sure z is >= 14
-> The lat and lon should also be approximately correct. There is no code to automatically zoom to the selected openbench-object, so it should be in view to be loaded
-> The hash has the openbenches-id; it'll open the popup once the openbenches data is loaded from MapRoulette
