i think regardless of how usable or unusable foss is in terms of accessibility requirements, in the long run it's gonna do way more for accessability than continuing to support tech companies that bow to fascists.
i'm all for improving accessability in foss but we have to jump ship now. we can't wait until foss is on par with the likes of microsoft and apple - at least not in public institutions.

@CIMB4 Cool, so what do you propose me now? I'm a remote software developer running my little company. What should I do? If I give up Windows, I cannot program, because Linux on desktop… I can give you a series of articles written by a blind guy I trust. TL;DR: It's practically unusable by a blind person. If I give up Microsoft Office, what have I? LibreOffice whose presentations are inaccessible at all and whose other products have major accessibility flaws? If I gave up my iPhone (or, for that matter, my Android phone), what should I use?

@CIMB4 That I do of course, and Florian does, and many of us do. However so often we get the same response: "You need it? You're a dev? Go fix it, we accept pull requests". But I'm a single person, I cannot fix thousands of bugs in every product I use, from, say, Linux to the screen reader on Linux to LibreOffice to Jitsi to… you name it. I don't see a good solution right now except for gradually (gradually is the keyword!) go open-source and get government support. I've just read an article here, like hooray, the city of Lyon abadoned Microsoft Office, woohoo, hooray, tralala! When I see this, I read: no blind people in Lyon public services anymore. We are vulnerable already, so-called social allocations are ridiculous, and this movement is another huge stick in our wheels.

@CIMB4 I would like a gradual move: you take one piece of software, like, say, an office suite (and yes, not to start from a whole operating system). Then you as a government fund proper accessibility audits, I mean, not like "on paper with automated testing", but you hire proper experts in accessibility, disabled users among them, and you make the devs bring the piece of software into shape according to European Accessibility Act. And only then this piece of software is recommended for common use. It's not for tomorrow, not for next month even, it's a long process, yes. But thus and only thus your claims will be justified. Otherwise you just throw us away.
