Wow, according to reviews when you start a #Pixel 10 Pro, 10 out of 16 GB of RAM are already occupied by the OS and (primarily) AI. Leaving just ~1/3 of the memory for all your apps. Crazy. 🤯

Glad I'll be installing #GrapheneOS on it.

BTW
there is no reason you shouldn’t have full access to your #computers. there is also no reason whatsoever you shouldn’t install software you’ve developed or is developed by sources you vetted and trust.

this is a post about the (micro)computers in your pockets and purses that are marketed under the moniker of “smart phone”.

don’t matter if it’s an #iOS #iPhone or an #Android #Pixel: they’re #microcomputers.

we should have full access to and use of their hardware & operating systems.

Today on the degoogling journey: How can I make the best out of a Pixel's camera on #GrapheneOS? 🤔

The default camera app doesn't begin to exploit all the nice things that the Pixel camera hardware can do, and I do want nice things. 😁

Installing the Google camera means having to install the Google gallery to open the pictures and more google crap, and I don't want to go to a sandbox profile every time I'd like to take a picture.

Thanks a million in advance!

I bought a #Pixel 6a to finally switch to #GrapheneOS. You can get a used one for €120 and it still has 2.5 years of support.
Software-wise, so far so good. Even banking apps like #Revolut work without having to install anything from #Google. 👌

Can someone please explain to me as if I were a child how this answer makes sense.

2+2x2-2÷2=5 is what every calculator app on my Google Pixel 7 phone reads.
