@rzeta0 Don't just hope – help to make it happen! We love improvements too but we're a volunteer-driven project with very limited resources. We get a huge amount of requests to implement or improve things but unfortunately little help. Please consider joining our community or funding a developer: documentfoundation.org/certifi… – Thank you! 😊

We have packaged MapComplete as an Android app (available for testing on app.mapcomplete.org)

We are however also looking to get it published into the Google Play Store - but are facing difficulties. @pietervdvn (who will maintain this) can't get verified. Does someone have hints on what documents to submit?

Or is there someone out there whom already _has_ a verified developer account who want to publish the apps on our behalf? (Maybe @streetcomplete , @vespucci_editor or @CoMaps ?)

In our feed there are some interesting horrible stories about Play Store against our Free Software app. Good luck with Google semestral censorship surprises.
F-Droid is honestly very slow in releasing each tagged version (e.g. 4-5 days) but we still love F-Droid.

Congratulations 🍾 app are nightmares. We hope only the best after this choice.

(tip: toot about Google/F-Droid issues, people is happy to help also on fediverse)

🛑 Do we really want to build our digital infrastructure on platforms that can be switched off at the stroke of a pen in Washington?

❌ Do not let the Trojan horse through the gate!

✅ The solutions exist, built here in Europe.

🇪🇺 It’s time for authorities and public institutions to walk the talk on strategic autonomy. Adopt sovereign European services – now.

I tried on my PC and it didn't work, same with my phone but with my phone using mobile data it works so I can only think it's something ISP related maybe? I did try the ping command prompt and got a timed out so yeah very strange.

Just to check I tried with Firefox (main browser), chrome and edge and all of them didn't load the webpage.

Back when Apple first revealed Aqua, there was a quote from an executive at a paper company. I haven't been able to find it in years, but it said something to the effect of, “we spend tons of R&D money trying to make paper as opaque as possible, and here Apple is spending CPU cycles deliberately making things translucent.”

That's been on my mind ever since, as UIs have gone through Aqua, Aero, iOS 7, etc.

Looks like Arweave is adopting #LMDB now? github.com/permaweb/HyperBEAM/…

It's amusing to me to see them adopting this code now, since they were the first project to adopt #RandomX. Early to adopt my recent work, late to adopt my early work. Also interesting to see that they use #Erlang - I first tried to develop an erlang wrapper for LMDB years ago to use in #riak, but all of that was abandoned.
