Yes, there was an issue with our Object Storage that didn't bring the server down, but slowed everything to the point that there wasn't any real difference. It also pointed to a blind spot in our monitoring as you noted, our status page didn't reflect reality. I put up a post on the main page as a stop gap.

I am not a Trump supporter but I do think it's important to ensure that reports and audio clips come from trusted, verifiable sources. I just don't assume that a sound clip or quote that I get from social media is reliable until I can verify the source.

Great video! I just feel the whole thing has been very poorly communicated. What @ryanleesipes is doing here Mozilla should have been doing from the very beginning. We're a fairly big Firefox redistributor and there has been no communication towards us. And it does make people nervous here.
BTW is there any particular reason why the video is only 720p on PeerTube and 1080p on YouTube?
I wonder if the enterprise@mozilla.org mailing list could serve as a platform for the communication. I think all people interested in Firefox deployed in an enterprise environment are there. Someone posted a question about it yesterday. But no communication from Mozilla.

@auser IMHO it is only amplification of the original poor communication. I don't mean to critise, it's just really hard to get it right sometimes. Speaking from experience. We at Red Hat have had our share of poor public communication. 🙈

Some good news about #Mastodon, there has been a very significant bit of code added which will automatically fetch all the replies in a thread. This means everyone will be able to see a thread's whole conversation no matter which server they are on! 🥳
The code has just been "merged" which means it should become available in the next update to Mastodon, hopefully within the next few months.
