Die Feststellung der deutschen Datenschutzkonferenz (DSK) dass Microsoft 365 nicht mit der DSGVO konform ist und nicht ohne weitere Maßnahmen in Behörden, Schulen und Firmen eingesetzt werden kann, hat ziemliche Wellen geschlagen.

Kann ich so nur unterschreiben. Auch die Frage, obe das jetzt hätte als Werbung gekennzeichnet werden sollen, stellte sich mir (ich hatte mich gleich nach dem "Anlesen" gefragt, wer denn so einen Unsinn schreibt, und daher gleich nach den Autoren geschaut)

Ich habe mir den "REINER SCT tanJack photo QR" bestellt, der soll HHD v1.4 können und auch mit der DKB gehen (QR Modus aka "913 - ChipTAN QR"). Probieren konnte ich das noch nicht, ist noch nicht da (kommt hoffentlich nächste Woche).
PS: Dank seines Dual-Modus (QR + Photo) sollte er auch das "Smart-TAN Photo" der PSD-Bank (und weiterer Banken, die das nutzen) unterstützen. Die können ja wiederum kein QR…

Work-in-progress MAME driver for the "Speech/Morse Generator", the 1980s device that provided the voice for several Stasi spy number stations on shortwave radio. Unfinished, but working enough to use most of the functions.
A lot of you already saw my posts about this earlier this year, but I'm now looking for help finishing this up... I'd be interested in collaborating or passing the project off to someone with better knowledge of MAME internals who can clean up the driver, as it's really little more than a skeleton. UART and paper tape are notably unimplemented, and it would also be good to rework it so the speech ROMs are loaded through MAME's cartridge system, as they were actually stored on custom cartridges originally. Code is at github.com/natarii/mame/tree/s… I also worked on a disassembly of the Z80 program to better understand the functions, including the serial control commands which (as far as I have seen) are not listed in the original documentation. All available to interested parties...

The theming system is a little wonky and inflexible (compared to GTK or Qt), but still fairly capable considering this is a game engine, and not a UI library.

Not a small task Im afraid, but all the building blocks are there. The tricky bit may be making a virtual touchscreen, but again. But even then the building blocks are there, if I can figure out how to put them together (and stay motivated on a personal project for once).
I think you might need some raycast magic. Or transform calculations if Godot can give you the exact collision point.
But maybe it's also interesting for IRL e-ink display projects, Godot has a mode where it only updates the screen if needed, that would fit nicely with an e-ink display device. Provided that it is powerful enough to run Godot.
@treefit Yep theres many raycast and collision tests in my future. Its probably not as hard as I imagine, things like this have been done before in Godot. The xrtools has a VR keyboard. Perhaps I can just plunk that in.
Im not sure what I would use on a real device. There are many displays available from waveshare, including ones more than big enough for a tablet (though you are on your own for touch input). If I recall correctly, the Remarkable e-ink note taking tablet runs Qt.

Today's is more of a handy implementation rather than best practice example per se. Still, I haven't seen it anywhere else and I find it a socially mindful design. You know the talking info boards at public transport stops, right? The ones that you press a button on and it reads the next few lines that will depart even when all you really need is the next one? I'm pleased to tell you that Luxembourg is doing it differently: The spoken information is given only as long as you hold down the button that activates it so it is a kind of walkie-talkie that does the talkie part instead of you. This way, you can hold it down, listen to the next train or two arriving then release the button and be done with it. Not a perfect design as it excludes those with limited dexterity but it is a start. Sadly, the information is given only in French which goes to show that accessibility should also include those who can't speak the country's language. This is in Luxembourg which boasts three official ones so most of the native population has grown multilingual from the start. Unfortunately, I have seen these info boards only at some train stations in the Luxembourg city - would be amazing to see the availability expand. Again, no links and also sadly no recordings so have some more interesting facts instead: 1. Luxembourg is the first European country to make the public transport completely free of charge to everyone. Bear this in mind if you ever come to visit. 2. Zda se povedlo, to posoudí každý sám. To je teprve začátek, máme další nápady, jak zlepšovat optimalizace. Co je nejlepší, lze je aplikovat na vanilla Arch Linux.
