A lot of phone companies liked to upgrade their old polyphonic ringtones into audio. Here's one example. Flashback. A sort of romantic, orchestral-style ringtone. It first appeared as an MMF on several LG phones in 2005, such as the SV900 and SB120. Then, in 2007, it got renamed from "Flashback" to "Like a Movie," and was lengthened and upgraded quite considerably. Downloads:

#Catima 2.25.0 is out!

This release improves the barcode rendering code and supports allowing third party apps to read your cards after they request access, allowing #Gadgetbridge to work with Catima in their next release.

This feature is enabled by default as it requires apps to explicitly ask for access through Android permissions. However, if you feel certain you never want to allow other apps access to your cards at all, you can disable it in settings.

New option in Catima settings under the "Privacy" category. The option is named "Allow other apps to access my data" and has a description stating "Apps will still have to request permission to be granted access". The setting is enabled in the screenshot.

An accessibility overlay vendor (#AudioEye) is suing @aardrian, an accessibility specialist, in the United States of America.

I've already shared this story before. The news is that his attorney has filed a motion to dismiss under New York’s anti-SLAPP (strategic lawsuit against public participation) law (what doesn't really exist in France).

Quick reminder that AudioEye is a member of the IAAP (International Association of Accessibility Professionals)… If this makes you feel bad, it's normal.

Vzal jsem základ na mechanické 105 (mám tu sadu i na alu endurance zimáku stejné značky), ale do budoucna chci vyšší sadu v elektrice. Jenže chci zase Shimano, ale čekám na lepší baterie (pokud možno vyjímatelné, abych je nabil doma a ne ve sklepě).

I rarely post any of my music online as I just mess about with stuff for my own amusement and I have extremely low self-confidence. Basically I think my music is shit.
Anyway here's something I uploaded about half a decade ago where I tried to make 80s/90s Japanese arcade game music even though I no bugger all about making Japanese video game music.
I did it with the Korg M1 plugin to try to get that old sound chip vibe, and didn't use much dynamics processing because those chips didn't, also I'm horrendous at mixing.
Anyway it is what it is, so enjoy, or something.
No visuals even though it's on YouTube. I put it up there because SoundCloud was and probably still is a pain to use with a screen reader, at least on iOS.

You guys talked about the importance of DTrace. Maybe I'm beating a dead horse here, but do you miss being able to use DTrace to observe everything from the bottom of the stack all the way up to the top, since the Oxide platform is based on VMs rather than bare-metal containers? Does the hardware virtualization barrier ever get in your way? Do you have plans to come back to bare-metal containers as an option at some point?
