I have been using Thunderbird for many years but have recently started using Thunderbird on the Android. I am really not a fan of the way folders are displayed within the application.

This is a repository of apps to be used with your F-Droid client. Applications in this repository are official binaries built by the original application developers, taken from their resp. repositories (mostly Github, GitLab, Codeberg).
Synapse 1.120.2 was just released with several security fixes: github.com/element-hq/synapse/… You should really update now and while the last 2 CVEs say, they were fixed on 1.106, to my knowledge that is only true if you enabled authenticated media, which only became the default in 1.120, so you really want to update even for those or at least update your config.

Thinking about it, their conclusion that “the app-ification of everything can lead to some pretty absurd scenarios” isn’t necessarily correct. It isn’t the app-ification – it’s delegating control to some server on the internet which is expected to have 100% availability. It’s the same issue with you losing access to your local e-books or games because a vendor went out of business. Same thing is increasingly happening to hardware which seemingly has little reason to rely on internet services.
I can think of several possible solutions which don’t rely on internet connectivity at all or only require a connection at the time of the reservation (unproblematic: without connectivity no reservation confirmation). These would deposit a token on user’s device which can be verified locally, without relying on the vendor’s server.
While this wouldn’t be hard to implement, it would require the vendor to consider their centralization a potential weakness. This isn’t aligned with their incentives however, as centralizing the system makes it easier to control everything and collect every last piece of data.
So just to make people here aware, we are also on BlueSky now (bsky.app/profile/pipewire.org). Our goal is to keep doing things like release announcements primarily on Mastodon and BlueSky going forward. We might stop updating our X account at some point, but we will make a sticky note announcing that once we get to that point.

@archos Začínal jsem klasickým českým Lodosem. Sloužil dobře, ale nastavuje se šroubkem bez jakýchkoli kroků, takže vlastně jen „na pocit“ a já dělám kafe pokaždé jinak, takže ho potřebuju přenastavovat často a potřebuju vědět, jak ho mám nastavený. Ale zase stál pár stovek :)
Po něm jsem měl nějakou čínu, ta vůbec nestojí za řeč.
@archos Když jsem mlýnek vybíral, uvažoval jsem i o nějakém Timemore, ale už si nepamatuju, co přesně to bylo za model. Stál o hodně méně než Comandante, ale pořád to byly tisíce.
Dřív jsem měl Hario nějak lehce přes tisícovku. Za ty peníze fajn mlýnek, ale oproti Comandante obrovský rozdíl. Hlavně když chce člověk mlít trošku nahrubo, nezvládal to konzistentně - část jsou velké „kameny“, část skoro prach. Na espresso už vůbec.
@Milu To kupovali naši ještě za komoušů. Měli ho na chatě, ale bez využití. Tak jsem ho zabavil 😀 Mele úplně v pohode i po těch letech. @OttovonWenkoff
Já jsem si chtěl koupit elektrický, koupil nějaký klump, který jsem po prvním mletí vrátil do prodejny a zase melu ručně. 😀 No nebylo lepší mletí v obchodě 😀😀😀
@archos jeee, zrovna jsem si ondynoid před pár dny posteskl, že se tyhle mlejny už v obchodech nevidí (aspoň v těch, kam chodím). Velký profi stroje mají ve speciálkách, kde ti namelou podle přání, co tam zakoupíš, ale zarumplovat si sám za kasama mělo neopakovatelný kouzlo. 🤩
@archos Minimálně v té, ve které sedí moje maminka na kase jo, ale říkala, že je postupně ruší. I u nich se o tom uvažovalo, nakonec přežil. Ale ne ten bílý moderní, ale takový červený v kulatém vzhledu, litinový. Je na něm vyražený rok 1973, předpokládám, že je to rok výroby.
@archos Mezi námi, ona je Jednota drahá jak blázen, ale uzeniny a pečivo si vždycky přivezeme, mají fakt výborné. Písecké uzeniny jsou TOP. Jejich trvanlivý Turistický salám mi chutná víc než Uherák od jednoho pána z Průhonic 😀 A taky mají takovou tu echt sekanou, ne jako ta pečená paštika z Glóbusu. Ale pozor mluvím o Jednotě České Budějovice, ono je jich po republice víc firem, které sice nějak spolupracují, ale jedna firma to není.

No, ať jsme fér, mají i s masem, třeba 85%, ale z koření to vidělo jen sůl, udilo se to 5 minut a za maso se považují dle legislativy i psí boudy... Ok, už držím ústa 😀
Zacni tim, ze si reknes, k cemu. Filtry, espresso? Jak casto? Rano a v poledne, nebo nekolikrat denne? Chces posilovat, nebo potrebujes po ranu kafe na probuzeni, takze elektriku? A samozrejme kolik tak chces/muzes za to dat zlataku?
@satai Pravdu máš, to jsem měl (pako) připsat jako zadání. Možná. Vaříme většinou french press nebo turka, občas filtr. Espresso nemáme. Použití denní, tak 2x 3x. A ručně bych se tomu vlastně taky nebránil. Díky! 👍
@satai já obevil nedávno Kaffia Barista (X) a nedám na něj dopustit. Ruční mlýnek, pomleto rychle a snadno, stojí pár korun a zvládá jak super jemné tak hrubé mletí. Podle mě přesně to co chceš. A teď jak jsem hledal obrázek jsem narazil na to, že přechozí verze, kterou jsem chtěl a nebyla tenkrát :D, je teď za 299 Kč. Jako podle mě je to mlýnek s hodnotou tisíc korun, neváhej a ber, i kdyby jen do rezervy :) A ta starší verze navíc neklouže jak to Xko. A přikup aeropress :)
Mně ten ruční taky stačí. Piju jen moka kávu, vždy námelu na dva tři dny a pohoda. Možná to je pro někoho problém, že třetí den není úplně čerstvá, ale ta plechová huba co mám, odchovaná českým turkem, to stejně nepozná 😀

I was a volunteer transcriber for the original braille.org project when it was being run by Peter Donahue in 8th grade. I think he may have been the one to suggest Turbo Braille to me as I didn't like the output I was getting from NFBTrans at the time.
