It uses Flutter.
Really?
Seriously?

How do governments leave Twitter?
I wish Canadian politicians and governments would quit relying on Twitter as a primary communications tool, too. I'm not so bothered by their mere use of Twitter, as I am by the fact that they don't provide a free, truly "public" alternative.
The poster argues that the channel should be "free to use". I would argue that a primary comms channel must also be free to access without requiring an account. Otherwise it's not a "public" comms channel at all, it's a walled enclave.
It's the 1990s all over again, you're a 10yo #ADHD child and Santa finally brought you a NES Control deck for Christmas, and you're here scratching your head watching at the stock photo on the box and noticing some things are obviously very wrong in it. 😁
If you know, you know !

Is anyone making a list of companies that have fired people for quoting Charlie Kirk’s views?
Seems like a list of companies that support fascism and free speech only when it’s in support of fascism should be well known to all.

I see Trump is suing the NYT for $15b for treating him unfairly (it's because he doesn't understand Wordle)
It's quite funny that the person in the highest office in the land is having a public meltdown about not being treated fairly. His primary claim that Kamala Harris was given more favourable coverage.... HE IS THE FUCKING PRESIDENT. It's not enough that he won by being a massive shithead - now anyone who points out he's a massive shithead needs to pay. Like the school bully pushing someone into a puddle then crying when they get in trouble for it.
But..... they said I was mean for pushing them in a puddle!
But you did push them in a puddle, which was mean.
Waaah, you can't *say* it, it's not fair, why doesn't anyone *like* me? Come here so I can push you in this puddle.

Let's dive into the importance of using a professional email address for SMEs and find out which secure email provider to choose.Tuta
I love Tuta, it's a great service and I use it, but I feel it's a bit disingenuous to say it's encrypted when emails that come from anyone who *doesnt* use Tuta still come over unencrypted which is likely 90% of all emails one will receive
Just something that always rubbed me the wrong way 🤷

I searched earlier for a guide on how to switch from Proton to @Tutanota but didn't find anything quickly. So - I went about figuring out how to do it myself - and succeeded. I then decided to write a quick and dirty guide for migrating.
This does *not* include migrating custom domains - this is just the basic moving mail and calendar.
Android is getting DHCPv6 (-PD) support. If you want to use it, be prepared to scrap your current addressing plans - each Android device will now consume a /64 on its own.

Did you know monocles chat supports pinned messages? You can pin multiple messages, stacked so the most recent appears on top. In the next release you’ll also be able to jump straight to a pinned message’s location in the conversation and also pin images and files.
- Pinned messages stay visible and are easy to find later.
- You can pin multiple messages at once.
- Pins are useful for action items, decisions, and deadlines to keep conversations focused.
- Save frequently used links, instructions, images or files.
> in the client only
You mean it's purely local, other participants don't see the messages you have pinned?

Pleroma Gitlab is back online, it's downgraded to Gitlab 17 at the moment. I'll have to do a proper db upgrade to get back up to Gitlab 18 but it was upgraded incrementally over time and now I have to repeat that manually later by reading the changelogs to see if I can just jump to 18 now or what
The database has time traveled back to April 2025, manual full gitlab backup execution is happening now, blog post will happen in the morn.
